Quad views through PimaxXR just broke for me after the new DCS update that dropped a couple of hours ago. It looks like its tracking my eyes and where I'm looking but is shaking violently in the box where the Higher res part is supposed to be.

Same for me, my Pimax Crystal make exactly the same. Now that MBucchia didn't develop it how could be solved?

If you turn off Quadviews then the shaking goes away.  Of course you take the performance hit as well.

Yeah, sadly doing that makes DCS borderline unplayable at the graphics settings we've come accustom to 😞

FYI if you disable Eyetracking (in the Pimax software for my headset), it works. Just without eyetracking obv. but tbh I'm surprised how little of a difference it makes for me with 25% width+height on quad focus area at 100% resolution 75% sharpness and 10% on the surrounding with 20% transition area.

Thats awesome that it makes that little difference for you, sadly I'm losing 20-25 FPS without Quadviews on my crystal.

I'm not sure if that's disabling quad views tbh, but I'll check FPS, was running 45 average with QuadViews so I'd expect to see stuttering without.

Edit: I have comparable FPS as before, are you 100% sure disabling eyetracking disables QuadViews?

Same bug I reported to ED for >1 year but apparently no traction to fix it.

They renamed the app so now the workaround doesn't kick in anymore.

What is it going to take to get this sorted in a Hotfix - as more and more people switch to Pimax this has to be a priority surely - shocked to see its a year old but the workaround no longer works.

Mbucchia - in the interim is there anymagic you can do as waiting for ED is like waiting for us to colonise Mars.

I've explained my position below.

TL;DR, no I cannot do much without creating more problems for myself (eg: unsigned build that would break other apps), for an issue that I have already spent HOURS explaining in details to ED, and that isn't even my bug in the first place.

I wasn't banned, but this account is mostly inactive and not monitored.

Mbbuchia yes i went through and read the entire post after i had left the above reply.

Usual ED saying one thing re how important VR is to them, then actually doing nothing about it.

How this wasn't picked up on the internal testing is beyond me and if know about why hasnt ED put on the patch notes, Pimax users do not upgrade at present etc.  Its really really poor.

Once again to the point - why is a commercial operation alwasy so reliant on the community trying to bail them out of the sh"te

That's encouraging for us who are waiting to get the crystal light that doesn't have DFR. 🙂

Purchased a Crystal 2 months ago specifically for DCS, in part because of Bignewy’s review/recommendation of the Crystal & QuadView.  Please fix asap.  Thanks.

This is soul crushing.

I shut off eye-tracking in the Pimax Device Settings and that solved the problem. I'm getting some frame spikes and the overall quality of the image is not as good, but it solved the problem and at least let me get into the air over Afghanistan.

Fixing this bug needs to be a priority for ED.

Same issue with my Meta Quest Pro

As someone that worked for a software firm (technical documentation was my role) - I'm a bit disappointed this bug wasn't caught by the alpha or beta testers.  Do you guys need some VR beta testers?  There's a bunch of players that would be inclined to give you a hand

Once again just a crushing blow... so disappointed in ED.
Turning off Quad Views is not a fix, for me it can't keep up with head tracking.  Completely nauseating
