The last time i looked, DCS is a flight simulator game, not a cockpit simulator game

That’s funny, because the most work, and most ongoing improvement in the past 5 years has been the cockpit Sim. Combat has backslid, basic aviation concepts remain ignored or missunderstood by ED, and weapons guidance have basically become wildly unstable systems.

Which tracks since the original product was an A-10 Partial Task Trainer for Cockpit work.

Were the missing sound files added with the July 22 update?

That was a hotfix , not an update.

Humm, I dunno if these have been reported before. If so, I will edit them.

1. In flight, with the HOTAS in game matching the actual HOTAS, the flap is down in various degrees randomly even though no axis is mapped with the flaps

2. The wheels now seem to be skidding a bit too much

3. It does not go automatically into AA mode, but some time it does

4. In PAL, the radar cursor cue does not move, but some time it does.

I Fly, Therefore I Am.

One cannot go around not saying "Thank you" every time these days, can't you?

No bugs found:

1. Read about automatic behavior of maneuver flaps.

https://heatblur.se/F-14Manual/general.html#flaps-and-slats

Quote

While normally automatic the maneuver flap system can be manually controlled using the DLC & maneuver flap command thumbwheel on the control stick.

2. Didn't notice. Be specific please.

3. It is selected by the pilot or can be triggered in the Mission Editor.

https://heatblur.se/F-14Manual/cockpit.html#displays-control-panel

4. You won't see the diamond moving when Guns or Sidewinder is selected.

One more thing, in Landing mode and after the landing gears are down, some how the AoA indicator lights do not show up. Is there any setting or switch I should note about?

Yeah, that one is an old bug.

no 6 wheel

Just wanted to congratulate the Devs on this update. Been playing with the “A” model a lot lately and really like the new engine sounds, especially the way the engine spools up or down. I can tell what the engines are doing just by the sound and adjust the throttle accordingly.
