wip Dark, dirty glass and canopy reflection

Haven't tried the patch yet, but on screens above I don't see the red Achtung sign reflection anymore. Maybe that's what they meant?

I changed the red texture for gray.

Weird, because if you look at the images in the original post, you can see the reflections have been cut way back. If you are not seeing a change, you might make sure you are not running custom cockpits or other mods that are interfering with it. 

Also, the only thing that was changed is the reflection of the cockpit in the canopy glass and how strong it is or was. The glass texture or the glare of light was not changed that I am aware of, and I don't think it should be. Glare can impact real-world flights and, unlike reflections, are not as easy for your eyes to just unfocus from like reflections can be.

We cannot diagnose any issue you have if you are modding your files. As I can see in the latest update, reflections have been cut back a lot.

The "haze" on the canopy frame towards the rear is still there. And hat picture is from aug 2024....

If people fly the anton capture some some pics from the same perspective.

Looks like no clouds and a sunny day, vanilla dcs mission id say.

I checked it on ground yesterday and still it was sandblasted to the back....

 

If this is "correct as is" id expect ed to "fix" this on all other warbirds to make canopies reflect "correctly"... and then see the backlash....

Cause once this is "updated" to 51 and 47 pilots people will go apesht...

And no, i dont use any mods, but i will have to again...

Yes the reflections are gone, but now it seems that the side windows are made of very bad or old plexiglass. When I fly the free flight instant action in Caucasus, I cannot see anything on the left or right. Only the windshield is clear and transparent.
