The CH-47 has been a cornerstone of U.S. and allied military aviation logistics since its introduction. Its ability to handle multiple mission profiles with speed and agility has made it a valuable asset in modern warfare. The CH-47F’s design reflects a perfect blend of technological advancements and practical battlefield experience, proving its worth time and time again under the most demanding conditions. 

Airframe and Design
The CH-47F features a fully integrated digital cockpit management system, which is a significant upgrade over its predecessors. This modern cockpit enhances operational efficiency by allowing pilots to manage onboard systems more effectively. It is equipped with the Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS), which improves navigation and battlefield survivability too. The damage resistant structure itself is designed to withstand small arms fire and shell fragments.

Performance
Powered by two Honeywell T55-GA-714A engines, the CH-47F can reach speeds of over 175 miles per hour (282 km/h), which makes it one of the fastest helicopters in the U.S. Army. The maximum payload capacity is around 21,000 pounds with an external load, meaning it can carry artillery and vehicles, underslung. The range and fuel efficiency allow the CH-47F to fly missions over 400 nautical miles (460 mi, 741 km) and operate with a fuel efficient cruise speed.

The CH-47F is capable of multitasking roles including troop movement, artillery emplacement and battlefield resupply. The triple hook cargo system can also be used for evacuation missions. It also has an impressive set of advanced countermeasures and armour protection for operating in high threat environments.

All the modules on the DCS standalone store are Steam incompatible since you need to purchase through Steam. I am sure it will be available on Steam once the patch is there.

I have literally every stand alone module and know how they work on steam , just crazy how ED refuses to mention anything about steam users when there are several of us asking questions on all forms of their social media  . They just say , " its out and ready " and then just leave thousands of steam users in the dark with 0 explanation ...

It is worth creating an account on the ED website and download standalone version, and then connecting your Steam account to your ED account. You will have patches faster, independently of Steam, and all add-ons purchased on Steam will also be available. Also, more money will go to the manufacturer, not the middleman.

yoyo , with over 8500+ hours on steam I will stay with steam , I can actually keep track of my flight hours and better manage screen shots and steam is how i found DCS years ago . This isn't about steam , this is about ED not communicating with the community about when this will be ready for steam users considering they made a blanket statement saying it's ready . I dont mind waiting if I know to wait , but if you publically announce the release and dont mention that steam users are going to have to wait then we have a problem .

I think they had other plans and wanted to release at the same time on Steam, you can see there was movement:

Most likely there were some last minute changes and the files were sent to Steam too late (maybe). I assume the update will appear on Steam on Monday, a working day.

why/HOW will it not allow me to use my ED MILES as partial payment on the CH-47 ?    nowhere is there a place to ADD/USE/REDEEM  my ed miles  and i do not want it ( while looking for the way to redeem them) to go to paypal without useing them.   Am I missing HOW to redeme them ?

NEVER MIND....as it showed 5590 ED miles needed ( and i have 4950) thought it was only going to cost me like $10.00    LMAO  the ed miles IF i used them was ONLY worth $4.90     what a SCAM   how then do they advertise ONLY 5590 ED points to BUY the mod ??  I do not get it by their math the 5590 ED miles would only be worth $5.50   NOT the $55.90 they are asking for.

Many places/businesses in the US have similar 'rewards' programs. 

You name it, gas stations, coffee houses, restaurants, movie theaters, etc. give you 'points' for every dollar you spend.

The reality of it is, the exchange rate of the points are usually .01 or even less. 

It's up to you to participate in the program or not.
