  1. Not sure if this matters at this particular moment, but I mis-typed the RAM... its actually 8... (7.88 usable) if that makes a difference...
  2. Thank you very kindly for responding. MSI GeForce 970 16g RAM
  3. Good day Gents, Have not been able to play since I have posted this topic, and now after updating to the latest version, I'm still unable to get a basic Hornet 'free flight' mission to load. Can someone be so kind as to guide me to what the issue is, and if its even fixable? Thanks so much! Cheers! dcs.log-20230312-213846.zip
  4. I am not able to correct my issue... I even executed a 'hard reset ' on my OS and I am *still* unable to get a mission to load without DCS crashing. Any aircraft, any mission. I'm not educated on the finesse of fixing issues on a CPU, so the idea of refusing to pay another red cent for anything DCS related, is appearing more likely. Any advice?
  5. Need a livery that has the balloon 'kill' emblazoned on the fuselage... I don't think this is a legit photo... Just an example.
  6. Getting really frustrated. Any advice? dcs.log-20230128-030432.zipdcs.log-20230128-034624.zip

    Weaponry?

Or smoking piles of MI-24's... https://taskandpurpose.com/history/air-force-f-15-gulf-war-bomb-iraqi-helicopter/ That will be my measure of success with the Strike. I wonder if actually accomplished in game, if you will be credited with the Air-to-Air kill? The crew that did it IRL , had to fight for the credit.
  8. Thanks for sharing! Interesting read.
  9. Now that I think about it, I don't think I have ever read anything about A-7's going into the merge against MiG-15/17's. So considering how much of a challenge they were against the Phantom driver's, I'd be willing to bet the A-7 guy's went *way* out of their way to avoid a fight. If there are any first-hand A-7 vs MiG-15/17 accounts, I'd love to read it.
  10. @BIGNEWY Please lock this topic... Please.. If you have one shred of decency akin to seeing someone being tortured for .... hours...days...weeks... a year. Just. (*sniff*)... Please. Put an end to it already.
  11. This thread...right here... is living proof that for some individuals, they could win the lottery, marry the playmate of the month, and go tax free for the rest of there life... And they would *STILL* find *something* to bitch or cry about... What a miserable life that must be.
  12. Solid answer. @NoodI I am not a trained aviator, but it probably handles only just slightly better than a fully loaded tanker truck on an ice covered road. If only the A-7F would have came to be...
  13. And I would also like to submit VA-72's ODS 'sister' squadron, the VA-46 Clansmen:
  14. ^This... Plus a low-vis gray jet from the same squadron, Desert Storm please. VA-22 Fighting Redcocks- 1988:
  15. Yeah... the whole 'Not a pound for air-to-ground' really depends on what Commander is issuing the ATO's. Would *you* go to General Tommy Franks, and tell him there's absolutely *no way* your precious fighters are able to strafe enemy positions w/ US troops in contact if called upon and your in the area? That would hands down be career suicide, no matter the branch or rank, and the squadron/Air wing/ branch air arms humiliation, would be difficult, if not impossible, to overcome. They would no doubt be on the top of the deactivation list if it even *looked* like defense spending needed to be reallocated.
  16. Agreed... I might actually take the time to study it, as opposed to jumping in and trying to act like I know what I'm doing.
  17. Because you were so caught up in your own arrogance, that you didn't even bother to look at the photo that started the 'wings' discussion before you posted your snarky comment. The USMC emblem is the Eagle, Globe and Anchor. If you would have looked carefully, .you would have seen what the USMC comment was referring too. Please take a moment and read and understand the conversation before taking to the keyboard. We would all appreciate it. Thanks!
  18. He's AF. Navy/Marine aviator wings are wider/more pointed at the tips..
  19. @BIGNEWYI'm still a bit ignorant about about computer hardware, so what is the "5.30Ghz Turbo" ? That one lost me... Thanks in advance!
