Tarres Posted September 6 Posted September 6 (edited) Not sure if a bug or I miss something. After a while we´ve tried the F1BE again, but in a cold start airplane the TACAN remains inoperative after the start up. If the aircraft is ready (on ramp, on runway or in the air) the TACAN is operative for both pilots and can be selected and operated normally. Thanks in advance.f1be tacan.trk Edited September 6 by Tarres

VOR and TACAN do not respond with cold start in BE model.
fausete Posted September 6 Posted September 6 Hi, we are unable to reproduce. Can you provide a TRK? Have you waited for about 60-90s to let the system warm up and have you made sure the priority panel on the left hand side was configured correctly? 1
Esac_mirmidon Posted September 6 Posted September 6 The Tacan has a warm up time until beeing operative. PD: Sniped, thanks fausete 1 " You must think in russian.." Alpiinoo Posted September 6 Posted September 6 (edited) BE model track: Also TACAN test is not working for me. But tacan and vor is working with hot start. BE_TACAN.trk Edited September 6 by Alpiinoo
Tarres Posted September 6 Author Posted September 6 Yes. Problems seems related with cold start options.
Solution fausete Posted September 7 Solution Posted September 7 Hi again, I'm unable to reproduce with your TRKs in our internal version, some work has been made in the TACAN that might have fixed the problem you were encountering. Btw, in f1be tacan2.trk you are trying to set a station that is too far away to be picked up on the ground. Report back if you are encountering the same issue after the next OB update. 1

grim_reaper68 Posted September 7 Posted September 7 (edited) Ok. test made on kobuleti (67X) aircraft cold and dark at Kobuleti, startup, Tacan would work, same for the test button, inoperative. Here a video, cold start on Kobuleti And hot start Edited September 8 by grim_reaper68 1
gulredrel Posted September 15 Posted September 15 Glad this one has been reported. Also sitting in a cold started F1BE at Senaki and having no working TACAN. No problem getting 67X or 31X in F1CE, but nothing in F1BE from the cold start. So let's hope this is no problem any more in one of the coming updates.
Vibora Posted September 16 Posted September 16 As fausete said, this is fixed. No need to keep reporting about it. The fix will be included in next DCS third parties update. 1 2 Roberto "Vibora" Seoane Alas Rojas [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
