Offering 8.3 million pixels per eye at 120hz, the Crystal Light offers the highest clarity available in consumer VR in a lighter and more affordable package than the original Crystal.

Key features:

  • Inside-out, ‘6 Degrees-of-Freedom’ tracking: No need for external base stations.
  • Glass aspheric lenses, QLED panels, and local dimming: Vivid colors and deep contrasts that increase readability and bring the world to life.
  • 2880 x 2880 native resolution (per eye, up to 120Hz): Delivers super smooth and crisp visuals.
  • Lightweight for ultimate comfort: weighing just 815g (1.8lb), the Crystal Light offers incredible performance in a smaller package than the original Crystal.
  • Foveated Rendering (static, non-eye-tracking): renders only the center and focus of the User’s vision in full resolution, resulting in FPS gains and exceptional GPU efficiency.

Dumb question maybe.

Do I even need the controllers?(Have full HOTAS setup)

I currently have a Reverb G2 and have never needed them for DCS.

Not a dumb question. You don't need controllers for DCS, but if you would want to occasionally try a game like a shooter like Half-Life: Alyx or something, then controllers are a necessity. But you can also always order them separately later.

How about a little love for the early adopters?

I was in the first wave to receive a Crystal Light and have been an avid cheerleader since.  Any chance we can claim those points?

Have one without controllers, not necessary, you can do everything in the pimax home with a mouse if that's what your worried about.  There are no settings that aren't accessible by mouse.  May take a while to figure it out but it's a solid upgrade over a G-2, and tons of options and settings compared, you just have to get that magical combo and your set.  But be aware you need a machine that can deliver, including a top notch graphics card.

Sr. Same result. I ordered it anyway, I am the happiest I have ever been with my setup with a G2, but am intrigued by the Pimax. Hope it lives up to the reviews.

Surely if it was ordered on 2nd October, you missed the boat? Offer is from 4th October. Just the way the cookie crumbles -same as for everyone else who got theirs recently but before that date.

Just like a sale - can't say "I bought mine 2 days ago, why can't I have the sale price?". Well, you can say it, but we all know what the answer would be...

Rig: Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS; Ryzen 7800X3D ; 64GB DDR5 5600; RTX 4080; VPC T50 CM2 HOTAS;

I have received an email from Pimax saying that if I use the "SEASONLOCK" code at the checkout it will refund me the difference if the PCL is discounted during the black friday sale. It also has a note saying

* Compatible with all other coupon codes!

When I try to use both codes it will only accept one.
I contacted Pimax support and they said the SEASONLOCK code does not work in conjunction with any other offer codes.

Has anyone got this to work or can anyone from Pimax explain why send out promotions if they arent true?
