Predator-78 Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 I noticed that the Tomacat HUD moves really slow, does it do the same in real life? I watched this real video and it seems much smoother. Try a different one, like this: https://youtu.be/PzL7RI2-JZ8?si=27MRhV4cxLOQ_X00 6

WarthogOsl Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 (edited) I've heard it was actually worse in real life then what we have in DCS. The path marker in that video is jumping around to the point of being useless. Edited October 24, 2024 by WarthogOsl 1

JupiterJoe Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 What does he mean by "Fox 2 kill from the music"? Intel Core i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz - 64GB RAM - Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 - Microsoft Sidewinder Force-feedback 2 - Virpil Mongoose CM-3 Throttle
Swordsman422 Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 Fox 2 refers to the launch of an IR missile. "Music" was the callsign of Lt. Lawrence Muczynski, the pilot of Fast Eagle 107 during the engagement. 2
JupiterJoe Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 (edited) Oh okay, I have heard the term 'music on/off' used for radar jammer and because it's an IR missile I was confused. Lucky the guy's callsign wasn't Fox Thanks. It's the databus sending the data to the HUD not the HUD itself actually and we have data for on what frequency those updated. 7 1

Fox Farrel had a very snappy salute for launching, which I believe is visible in some of the catapult scenes.
