See the photo of the pilot in front of the flat screen? A version of the DCS Hog perhaps? Interesting story anyway and a wonderful set up!

Oh hang on, that photo is now gone. That's odd. It mentions it in the text. Looked like CH flight sticks were being used and a nicely detailed Hog pit on the screen.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

No, it's not a version of DCS Hog. It's ED's DTS and the info for DCS Hog comes from.

In other words, that product is completely separate from what we'll be getting.

That's not DTS. Look at the clouds.

Might be the "second phase" of DTS that is done by TFC and Total Immersion software?. Press release:

Look a the hi-res of the guy in the cockpit, look at the city in the background - it's just a flat texture, no 3d objects.

Most of that article talks about the A-10C Full Mission Trainer, which is not the DTS (Desk Top Simulator) that ED worked on. However, this particular paragraph is DTS:

In addition to the upgraded simulator, the 190th has five hands-on-throttle-and-stick trainers that are just two months old. The HOTAS do not have the enclosed environment of the FMT but they do offer effective interactive training with a 56 inch flat-panel display, touch-screen instrument panel and hands-on controls.

Earlier, there was a third photo in the article, which was showing a pilot using DTS. It looks like it's gone now.
