Wheel chocks can't be removed on the F18 in the supercarrier after the 2.9.10.3948 update on Dec. 5th

I updated to 2.9.10.3948 on Dec. 5th, since then, I can't remove the wheel chocks whenever I have a cold start on the super-carrier. I was playing the same missions just two days ago, so there is no other variable than the last update.

To be exact, here is what happens:

1. Mission starts as normal in cold state

2. I instruct the ground crew to remove wheel chocks (either before, during,or after the startup)

3. I get the response from the ground crew as follows: "unable to comply air source isn't connected"

I tried connecting air-supply to check if the behavior changes, but nothing.

Track attached.

Hi, when your F18 is started you have to salute and as soon as the deck crew is ready the wheel chocks are automatically removed, you no longer need to ask for it, I had the same problem and now it works perfectly
have a good flight

I have saluted twice, and the Plane Captain had passed me off to a Yellow shirt, who was directing me to to taxi, and I confirmed from external view that the chocks were removed, but when I start to taxi, the chocks get re-applied? This is in Multiplayer by the way

That's the most stupid idea, but you have it in options - if you taxi too fast, chocks will be autamtically applied. You can turn that off. (Options/Special/SC)

They missed a trick by not labelling the option 'Enable Naughty Chocks' and/or not using wheel clamps instead of chocks as punishment for deck speed violations.

Simple speed limit would be enough, but also a stupid idea, generating problems in emergency situations.

On the other hand, DCS is still just a game. 80-90% of players play it as "a plane game", not most realistic simulator. And it's ok. Let them do whatever they want, but also allow us force some settings on server/mission side. But it's over 10 years and ED still didn't figured that out.

There should still be an option to manually add/remove them. There are many instances where the deck crew stop responding for parking, and auto-park doesn't work, at which point the only option is for the player to park on their own and add chocks via the radio menu.

For online squadrons, when the deck crew freezes up and won't unchock/guide anyone, the entire group of players has to restart the whole mission from scratch and hope it doesn't break again instead of simply removing chocks via the radio menu and bypassing the buggy deck crew.

I agree with the theory of that, but if it let you manually unchock that's likely going to break more than it solves.  Yes, if you're just flying a mission with your own squadron it wouldn't matter because you could all agree to do that and work around the deck crew.  But how would you reset things on an open server?  The only real solution is for ED to keep working on it (which they are) and make it work properly.

By leaving the server and going back in.

An individual could do that, but the cascading errors that could happen to others on the boat or joining after you pull the chocks would massively complicate what is already a crazy complicated situation to make work.  IMO there is no easy way to be able to reset things if even ONE person manually pulled their chocks on a public server.  So if even one did it, everyone else is going to have to.  And chances of someone being impatient (or not understanding) and pulling their chocks out of order thus screwing up the whole deck crew for everyone is high.

I'm starting with Takeoff from parking and I get the awaiting salute message. I did the salute but nothing happens. Where do I find the option to "Enable velocity limit while taxi"

Thanks ... Richard

Hello, i have almost the same problem just with the parking, so basically i landed on the carrier and parked fine but when i was done rearming/refueling i couldn't remove the wheel chocks i tried saluting it didn't do anything. Then i clicked on the request launch button the deck crew started moving to the launch catapult, then i tried saluting after that still nothing i've tried to fix it for 20 minutes then i just gave up and. Maybe it was my fault because i didn't do something right or i don't know, that's why i am asking. So please someone help. (And btw this was on a multiplayer server, Shadow reapers PVE).
