exssive Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 after installing the latest update my F-4 Phantom module is no longer authorized be used in DCS World OB, I haven't updated DCS World and its available. Anyone else having this issue? 3
Solution Czar66 Posted December 24, 2024 Solution Posted December 24, 2024 (edited) My F-4 is activated at this moment. No issues. 1-Make an exception on the whole DCS root folder on your anti virus(es), including windows defender. Authorization files are being wrongly flagged as threats for a good while. (issue not exclusive to DCS). 2-verify/repair DCS (fast method). Edited December 24, 2024 by Czar66 2nd step added.

After updating this file no longer gets blocked. So if you get this file marked as well update Windows Defender! Edited December 25, 2024 by Clawhammer

II.JG1_Vonrd Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 I now have the same issue regarding the F-4 authorization. DCS is allowed through all security and firewall. While doing a complete repair I got this error.
II.JG1_Vonrd Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Since the linked thread is marked solved I wanted to start a new one since it's not solved for me.
II.JG1_Vonrd Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 I deleted the dcs_manifest.bin as specified in the DCS Authorization errors web page and ran another repair with the same error. When I look at C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads\Mods/aircraft/F-4E/bin there is no HeatblurJester.dll file there and when I look at C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods/aircraft/F-4E/bin there is again no HeatblurJester.dll. I don't understand how a nonexistent file is being flagged as virus. Please help!

Have you added the entire DCS installation folder to your anti-virus software as an exclusion? What anti-virus software are you using? AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2
sleighzy Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 What anti-virus software do you use? Have you added the entire DCS installation folder as an exclusion to it, restarted your PC, and run a slow repair of the game? AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2

Windows Defender Firewall and yes, EVERYTHING DCS is checked as allowed to pass. I think you're right that the dll has been deleted or quarantined since I can't find it anywhere in the files. Why is a repair or reinstallation of the F-4E not resurrecting that dll file?
TacticalFalcon Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 Try reinstalling the module, maybe the problem is solved then. Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX 3070, Corsair RGB PRO 32gb DDR4 3600mhz, MSI B550 Tomahawk, Samsung 980 EVO 1TB, Meta Quest 2, F-16 HOTAS, Windows 11 Pro
Major Corvus Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 I had this exact same issue, but putting the root DCS folder and the DCS folders in the USERS/SAVEDGAMES folder as a Windows Security exception, then running the fast repair and rebooting, seems to have fixed it Kit: i9 10900k, Rog Strix RTX 4090, Asus Rog strix Z490 Mobo, 64 GB, Varjo Aero HMD running Open VR Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas, Thrustmaster Pendular rudder peddles MODS: Pretty much all of them

Windows Defender, not Windows Defender Firewall as this has nothing to do with your firewall. Send a screenshot of your Windows Defender that shows the DCS installation folder as one of your excluded folders. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/add-an-exclusion-to-windows-security-811816c0-4dfd-af4a-47e4-c301afe13b26#ID0EBF=Windows_11 Edited December 28, 2024 by sleighzy 1 AMD 7800x3D, 4080Super, 64Gb DDR5 RAM, 4Tb NVMe M.2, Quest 2
II.JG1_Vonrd Posted December 28, 2024 Posted December 28, 2024 (edited) A link to the solution here. For other people who thought that excluding the game exe is sufficient (which obviously is not the case) Edited December 28, 2024 by II.JG1_Vonrd
EPKolev Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 I think I found a solution. I just put in excluded folders- file DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\F-4E\. The installation of Phantom was successful and the game started without a problem.
GunslingerII Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Yep , same problem here , updated to 2.9.10.4686 and my F-4E in unauthorized.

GKOver Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Such a „solution“ is the same as closing a police station inside a city district…..
