Hello all

first off i dont think this is a bug. But wondered if you could help.

My auto pilot will not always work its not mapped to anything i just click in cockpit. I can play the same mission over and over again sometimes it will work from get go, other times it wont work at all. i thought the mission i made had broke it some how. but today just started the weasel campaign and it wont work in there either. Like i said its not mapped fuel door is not open. i have tried a repair in dcs. Now the only thing i think it might be now is somehow my hotas might be interfering with it. i have a winwing orion 2 with f-16 stick. At first i thought the simappro  might be issue. But dont think thats the case as turn it off and still had same problem. Im at a loss hopefully someone had the same issue and knows how to sort it.

many thanks

Maybe start to describe the problem and explain exactly what you are doing.

"not working" can mean so many things...
Nobody has a clue what is going on by reading what you wrote so far.

Can you perhaps share a short track?

Did you also make sure your stick is 100% centered? Either via calibration or with a small deadzone?

Did you make sure the paddle switch is not mapped to a switch on your hardware? The paddle switch disables the autopilot.

What Stick are you running? Some had success by updating their software.

Some other topic about it:

Hi,

please include a track replay,

as mentioned above its worth checking your inputs also and calibrate your devices, in case there is any interference when trying to establish level flight.

thank you

I had the same issue. You're not alone.

When you try to map the paddle switch, what number do you see in the cell on the Controls page? If you see JOY_BTN8, you are doing it right. If you see JOY_BTN7, you did the assignment wrong. Check it please, and if you see JOY_BTN7, i will explain what did you do wrong.
