ms.zz Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Hello, I tried how fast the F15E can fly. But every time when I reached mach 2.3 one wing broke appart. I tested it in 40.000 ft, 45.000 ft, and 50.000 feet. I thought the F15E can fly mach 2.5? Is this a bug, or did I miss something? Regards Marcel

There are usually speed limits both in IAS and in MACH. RAZBAM has implemented a 15% margin above the limit, so if you exceed either of these limits, your wings will be gone. I think the limit (without margin) is 800Kts/M2.0. Edited February 6 by razo+r 1

So the max speed in Wikipedia of mach 2,5 is without CFT? I dident even know that they can be removed. Interessting info! Thx!

Now I got it. Speed limit with CFT +15% is mach 2.3. They just moddeled the broken wing insted of the cft falling appart.

Reminds of being at an airshow at the McDill AFB in Tampa years back, and the was an F-117 on display. It was roped off, there was a sign with some info, chocks on the ground, a ladder going up the cockpit...... but no plane. 1 Some of the planes, but all of the maps!

Now this is gratuitous banter, but since you mentioned a sense of humour... At that same airshow, people had to walk down a taxiway to get from here to there. At one point there were cables going across the taxiway covered by a piece of metal. At that spot beside the taxiway were some bleachers with some air force guys sitting on them. And being a bit of a tool, obviously I tripped on the metal thing covering the wires, and the Air Force guys started cheering and held up signs with 8.1 7.2 9.0. They were scoring everyone that tripped. Florida is funny. 1 Some of the planes, but all of the maps!
