server overloaded Error 502

While trying to update I've got the error "Version 2.9.15.9408 is not available. Consider updating." from api.digitalcombatsimulator.com. Is this also due to server overload?

Not sure why if all our modules are on our computers there can't be a local file, so this issue doesn't keep happening.

I’m about half way through but the speed’s fluctuating from 0.0 - 2.1 MB/s now. Toying with cancelling and starting again.

Hi, 

authorisation is required for all owned modules. 

We do have a off line mode for people who want to use it, but that requires a connection to the server to grant the off line mode.

because you could simply make a copy of the files and run DCS on another machine. Maybe you want a return to the old copy protection software that ED used to employ?

Same speeds here, but I won't cancel as I'm afraid that re-starting would not improve the download speed.

If you cancel the download you will still keep the files you already have, when you restart the updater will check for them and then continue

I’m a bit ahead of ya Rude, Downloaded 100% but now it’s unpacking, says I’ve still got half an hour or so to go. By the time I get flying it’ll be bedtime, no doubt I’ll still be up half the night ‘exploring’.

At this moment I have completed a solo mission that I personally set up in Mission Editor, it lasted all this time that I was absent from the forum for almost 2 hours, everything was fine, and it functioned properly, I don't know how it is on a network with more players, let whoever flies report about it, that's all from me, good luck to everyone

I also got it downloaded at last   ... pity that it seems no single aircraft or helo module has bothered to include at least quick missions for this new Map

8+ hours to download and unpack the Germany map and a single campaign, and that is with a fast internet connection.  Unbelievable.  Servers are seriously lacking.

Or maybe a surprisingly high proportion of DCS users purchased it on day one, like us. Seems this map will be a popular one
