It's not a show-stopper but an option to not have hot-air balloons flying would be great. I can see the use of 1 or 2 air-race circuits on the map or even harvesters in some fields but I doubt anybody would feel the need to go hot-air ballooning during WW3

 

Besides; if I see balloons I feel like punching someone in the face. Probably some unresolved issues from my youth 😁

I have to say that they took me be surprise when I nearly ran into one in a harrier.  Made as you say, an option to remove would be a great solution.

Unless there were chinese weather/spy balloons... 😇

Can't they be removed with the remove map objects trigger action? (I can't test it, updating last patch right now). If not, yeah, I agree there should be a way to hide them

Have to agree, ideally they should be tied to the civil traffic setting.
