The helipad is off to the side at ground level

umm ... the red cross paint and night lightings on the top roof of the hospital building are common signs as a helipad.

If that top roof doesn't have a helipad function, its texture should be retouch to erase the red cross and lightings should be removed.
When the ground helipad is painted with red cross or white cross (like "H Med FRG01") , helo pilots can see there is a hospital.

That's not where you land. you land at the ground level where the ambulances are. as it states in the briefing on your way to the hospital with the pilot.

1) As others pointed out, that isn't the helipad.

2) Landing on the roof works just fine. Watch your clearence. You clipped the top of the elevator shaft with your main rotor.

You are correct about the clearance, but even after the collision with the elevator shaft, the building shouldn't collapse.
