I notice that there is nothing from HB listed in today's changlog. I hope maybe that just means that HB didn't get their list of changes to ED in time (as often happens). If you can't give us anything else, at least keep some nice new liveries on hand to give us during an "empty" month.

This particular patch had no changes from HB. According to Cobra (see Discord), a larger July patch is being prepared instead.

Ohh yes, if they’re on elastic instead of string they’ll stretch with g loading too, that would be really useful.

The HUD could even have a fuzzy cover over it when we cold start the jet…. Also recommend adding optional fuzzy seat covers like in the f16

Mind elaborating, which issues?

To fly the F14 with force feedback you have to load into it directly. Flying other aircraft and then flying the tomcat means FFB is messed up, so you live got to quit DCS, restart, and then load directly into the tomcat again. Surprisingly, the F4 doesn’t seem to have this issue (that I’ve noticed)

No it doesn’t. This only happens in the F-14, and has been for years. It’s annoying this has remained unfixed for this long.

It’s the age old “we’ll fix it all together at the end / when x core feature gets done” trap that usually ends up with so many items on the list, that just starting over with a 2.0 is quicker and more cost effective.

Im unable to find what this is referencing to. Something with the Jester Wheel? Then it will likely be fixed with the planned HB UI port.

Sorry if it wasn’t clear: this is about the F-14 FFB that stops working if you fly anything else before it in your current DCS session.

So if you start DCS and load any Tomcat mission, FFB works properly. If you fly any other aircraft first, exit that mission and then start any F-14 mission, the FFB stick goes limp and FFB doesn’t do anything until you restart DCS.

This has been reported a few times already, and has been a problem for years now.

Ah, yeah. Not much I can say other than "yeah, its known and on the list, will be fixed eventually".

(The reason its not present in the F4 is obviously because new module means new code. And you learn from past mistakes when you have to code something fresh anyways.)
