Who wants to make best Mi-24 mod ever?????

Okay, I am mad at Mil. The ASP-17 sight of the Mi-24 is also used by MiG-23, so, they could have given it a HUD!!!! 
 

Imagine having the MiG-23 altitude and speed scales! Altitude scales that switch between radar and barometric altitude!!! The artificial horizon!!!

Could it be possible to mod this on???

Isn't the sight only one part of the system, though?

I don't think is possible to add a HUD into a DCS module, but others may know better.

At one time, this was the best simulator, accurately representing the Mi-24's combat use.

The sight was a bit of a misnomer, but at the time, anything was forgivable.

Just that it would’ve been cool if Mil had been able to repurpose the MiG-23 HUD for the Mi-24, and a mod for such would Also be cool

You do realize that what you showed is a target detection and tracking system? The Mi-24 does not have this system.

Yes, I was shocked when I saw the HUD back in 1997 or 98, I know it's not real, simply wanted to show how it looked.

You're not, but that's why mods exist- to modify, extend or outright create non-existing capability.

AG is talking about mod, not trying to change DCS itself.

I still don't understand why. The Mi-24 is such a simple helicopter that it couldn't be simpler. 

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think any modernization was implemented, even in real life. There were many designs, many ideas, and in the end, the Mi-24 remained as it is. Perfect in its simplicity.

Agree, but people do it because they like to do it or just because they can.

I don't mind, not going to use it, but don't mind someone else having fun with it.

I just think it would be nice to have HUD. Not the targeting part the 

Altitude scale

 Speed Scale 

and most importantly 

The artificial horizon 

Super hind got a HUD. Mi-35P 2020 got an ILS-31 HUD. So they get to experience it!

When it comes to the Mi-24, I'm a purist.  I won't be using such a mod if it appears.

But everything you're writing about already exists, and it's very clear.  Also note that you're writing about the Mi-35 2020. It's not the same.  

Somehow, that doesn't resonate with me. I don't see it. But that's my personal opinion.
