In the end, the Navy decided to shift their missiles development funds elsewhere based on tests, tactical considerations and available budget (the primary limiting factor as always). If they had known in advance the Soviets would field such a system on the MiG-29 and Su-27, I guess they might have given it a higher priority. 1 1 i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg. Mainstay Posted September 11 Posted September 11 I really hope we get an option to turn those mirrors off as well… already driving me nuts in Wags his videos. Otherwise we kinda have to mod the glass so it becomes so dark we you can’t see the spinning anymore 1

YoYo Posted September 13 Posted September 13 6 hours ago, Mainstay said: I think you misunderstood me… I’m talking about the spinning mirrors for the HMD system Ahhh ok, however, check it out with your Ka-50 III if you have one. Contrary to appearances, it's not annoying. The only thing about the Ka-50 is that it only works when the Shlem is activated; in other situations, the sensor doesn't rotate. 2 Webmaster of http://www.yoyosims.pl Win 10 64, i9-13900 KF, RTX 5090 32Gb OC, RAM 64Gb Corsair Vengeance LED OC@3600MHz,, 3xSSD+3xSSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5, [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor2, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: Meta Quest Pro
YoYo Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Well, please look! ED members may not always respond, but as you can see, they read and listen :). Bravo. A very nice surprise; you can actually turn off the mirror of S-31EZh sensor animation. But as I wrote after testing the Ka-50 III, for me personally, it's a false alarm, because it doesn't bother me that much (I'm talking about VR), even though we have mirror elements here and not in the Ka-50. It's fine, I'll fly with them enabled, but if someone doesn't like it, they can now disable the animation in the Special tab. Kudos and thanks! 1 Webmaster of http://www.yoyosims.pl Win 10 64, i9-13900 KF, RTX 5090 32Gb OC, RAM 64Gb Corsair Vengeance LED OC@3600MHz,, 3xSSD+3xSSD M.2 NVMe, Predator XB271HU res.2560x1440 27'' G-sync, Sound Blaster Z + 5.1, TiR5, [MSFS, P3Dv5, DCS, RoF, Condor2, IL-2 CoD/BoX] VR fly only: Meta Quest Pro
Dača Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I thought this will be annoying distraction, but once i started flying I never noticed it again. Not even one bit. 2
Mainstay Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Thnx ED for adding the option to enable or disable the effect! Well done bravo 1
