Titles says it all. I have the English cockpit option selected but the AEKRAN display is in Cyrillic. The FAIL, TURN and MEMORY annunciators are in English.

These and measurements should really be defaulted to the correct one by vehicle type with special options tab options to change them.

Agreed, would be nice to pick avionics language and aircraft units in the special options tab in the ME per aircraft rather than across the entirety of DCS.

Did you set Avionics to English as well? Can you include a track? Thanks

Hello,

I did some searching around and came to the same conclusion. Avionics language is set to English and problem is resolved.

Thanks,

John

I would like the option in special menu instead, rather than changing unit universally

If I fly western aircraft I want imperial (German WW2 /French maybe not), but Metric if flying Warsaw pact.

So Unit setting per aircraft I would like.

I can’t get the Aekran system set to English, or maybe I just can’t find the option. In Matt’s video you can see that his Aekran is in English. In the Special tab, I’ve set the cockpit to English.

The fix has been posted by NineLine in this thread. Set the Avionics language to English.

Quick question @NineLine, that is not a MiG-29 specific setting, right? Will it affect all the other Migs? The Mi-8 and 24? The Mirage and Gazelle? The Bf and FW?

Hi,

it is based on Avionics Language selection, not Cockpit Language selection

thank you

I would also like to note that for an accurate representation of 9.12A, we need the option to leave HUD symbology in Cyrillic. As far as I'm aware, German/Polish MiG-29s never got their HUD symbology changed to Latin characters, so while it is a nice addition for players who do not want to learn what the Cyrillic characters mean, the accurate model, post NATO adaptation would have:

HUD: Cyrillic
Labels: English
AEKRAN: English
Units in the HUD and Speed/Altitude gauges: Knots and Feet
'Natasha' voice: English (even though I think Germans had it in German)

At the moment, setting Cockpit language (for labels) to English also changes to a 'fictional' English HUD.

Therefore, I'd like to ask you to add these options in the 'Special' menu of this module.

there is a bug currently on the English cockpit with the language selection, it will be fixed in the next patch.

thank you
