Tom P Posted yesterday at 02:51 AM Posted yesterday at 02:51 AM (edited) Requesting that we can get a trigger to change the wind settings. For example mission starts with ground level wind blowing west at 2kts > trigger activates an hour later >wind is now blowing north at 5kt. *Edit* gradually working up to 5kt. Not instant 5kts Maybe a trigger for turbulence change. I figured asking for weather change would be game breaking i.e preset light scatter changes to preset rain. rob10 Posted yesterday at 04:06 AM Posted yesterday at 04:06 AM I think your wish might be a bit bigger than you think. Currently you can't change anything in the weather without a restart, so they'd need to change it to be able to do that 1st, then you can request an in game trigger. In theory you can do a trigger currently. We had it as an F10 menu option on training servers to change conditions (so a trigger) BUT the mission had to restart to make the change take effect.
draconus Posted yesterday at 11:05 AM Posted yesterday at 11:05 AM Technically it's asking for global change of the weather during mission, almost a dynamic weather we're waiting for from ED. If it comes with realistic fade in change, like the wind changes from 1 to 6kts during the first hour, or clouds start to build up - then ok, I support. Instant change - then nope. 6 hours ago, rob10 said: We had it as an F10 menu option on training servers to change conditions (so a trigger) BUT the mission had to restart to make the change take effect. But it's rather mission generating trigger with changed values for the weather. Entirely different thing. Tom P Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Yeah gradual change. If it would be game breaking to adjust the heading maybe at least keep the same heading but with a different speed value.
Gunfreak Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago They could do like with fog. Set up wind like fog. With planned changes set to time. Like fog. It would change slower the longer between the changes. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
