bflagg Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Jason, Does that mean, it will NOT install a StarFarce Driver and is basically a Original CD check? Thanks, Brett
arraamis Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 1. Is there an established price for the CD version?? 2. What type of Shipping will be available within the US?? Thanks
arraamis Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 see previous posts, dont be lazy! ;) Either I'm going blind [from tooo many hours in the virtual sky :~) ] or I just totally missed where it states in any post what NaturalPoint is going to sell this cd for. Pilotasso, you typed about 29 characters .... how much more difficult would it had been to type in the price, since I've missed it totally ?????
NaturalPoint - Jason Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Guys, As far as I know and I won't respond to anymore StarForce questions. It will have a Star Force CP system in place. I can only assume that includes the proper SF drivers or whatever they are. And one more time guys. Please address questions about StarForce to Eagle and not NaturalPoint. We have zero control over that issue. From what I have seen Lock On: Flaming Cliffs sets a new standard for combat flight sims. I would hope that fans of LOMAC will embrace this awesome simulation and help keep our beleagured hobby alive. Look for an official annoucement on Monday. NaturalPoint - Jason Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 One more thing. All of our usual shipping options will be available and the price will be announced on Monday. Jason http://www.naturalpoint.com and http://www.trackir.com
schimmel Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 I guess I didn't post this here yet, but the boxed version that NP will be selling will have StarForce CP in place, but not limited to 5 activations like the Download version. I hope that helps. Jason Wow... thx a lot. That's what I want. And yes, it still installs a driver. So it's unclear if you can still play the game with Windows Longhorn. But hey. It's still far better then the activation system. Thank you ED for making this possible.
Sardukar Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 Yeah it is great news indeed. Hopefully the price won't be too much for it.
Cosmonaut Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 I guess I didn't post this here yet, but the boxed version that NP will be selling will have StarForce CP in place, but not limited to 5 activations like the Download version. I hope that helps. Jason Great news that’s exactly what I wanted to hear… thanks for the info!! Edit; I should say that I got an email from SimWare regarding the CP/activations.. here’s what they said: “We can't answer till we have it in our hands. As far as we know, the CD will be activation free (to be confirmed).” Cozmo. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Minimum effort, maximum satisfaction. CDDS Tutorial Version 3. | Main Screen Mods.
Dmut Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 Most likely simw.com and NaturalPoint will get CD's with same protection scheme as 1C was released in russian FC: no activation, but you will have to keep CD in CD\DVD drive. "There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." Pilotasso Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 I prefer that scheme a thousand times better. .
