EvilBivol-1 Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 (edited) Sorry, this should have been made more clear in the original announcement, but because the SP and MP GUI are separate entities with a different code base (as they were in Black Shark), the Mission Planner will only be available in single-player mode. For the future, ED does intend to unify the GUI to solve this and other issues, but not in FC2. I've clarified this information to the Jan. 15 update. Pilotasso Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Damn...no more 4 or 5 tank kills in a single pass anymore...compared to the A-10s "laser beam" cannon. Oh well, back to lobbing RBK250s ;) Correction: Advanced balistics model for all aircraft...as in the bullets (no AA missiles just yet) You missed that or completely forgot that about the FC2.0 annoucement ;) .
brewber19 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 (edited) I did miss that completely...and good! In the end its really no fun when your bombs and bullets land exactly where the pipper is. Nice to have some dispersion/variability so dropping an rbk or squeezing the trigger while pipper on target isn't an "insta-kill" in future. It does seem faintly ridiculous that you can be NOE, pop up to 1000m, roll, dive and release, sneak away...while behind you your bombs land perfectly on target. I like the fact rocket attacks are real "area" effect stuff. The one thing I hope for more than anything else in FC2 is the satellite view in the Mission Editor. I thought making missions in FC was tiresome...but its nothing compared to the torture of DCS's ME when trying to be clever with unit placement. Its a real shame because DCS ME brought us templates, triggers, area/timed explosions and all sorts of goodies, only to murder that with the removal of satellite view, so you can't tell where the treeline really is, or the light/dark patches of ground to make units easier or harder to see etc, without having to run the mission, have a look, tweak it, rinse and repeat. Anyways, I'll be buying it whatever features it brings, and whatever features it might also remove. Renato71 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Anyway I counted to have similar pylon selection like in LO 1 or as same as in F-16 Aggressor. This Ka-50 system (based on text) is really sorry but crap. :megalol: I agree. So, what does "early" cover? I'm selling MiG-21 activation key. Also selling Suncom F-15E Talon HOTAS with MIDI connectors, several sets. Contact via PM.

I like the fact rocket attacks are real "area" effect stuff. Well your right about rockets and bullets but your wrong about iron bombs. Most western fighters have very accurate CCIP calculations (at least in the low and medium levels with wind). Climb roll drop and run is a real tactic. I have watched numerous HUD tapes (dont search them in youtube they are not there ;) ) and its donne in few seconds. This happens because CCIP as it stands, can calculate impact point in real time ragardless of airspeed, attitude altitude etc, while on the aircraft you usualy fly have low computing power requiring you to maintain some variables contant to keep the drops precise. .

Xjikz Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Q: Will it be possible to build missions in both Black Shark and Flaming Cliffs FC 2.0 and use them interchangeably? A: For the most part yes, but some mission modification would probably be needed due to a different set of flyable aircraft. So how can we make a MP mission with LO planes and KA-50 flyable at the same time? Proud to be a [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] :joystick::pilotfly::book:
Aeroscout Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 So how can we make a MP mission with LO planes and KA-50 flyable at the same time? I assume the LO aircraft will be able to be set for client and not for player in DCS and vice versa in FC2.0 DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

Pilotasso Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 For the sake of renewing its airforce before it rusts away? If not, why try PAK FA then? .
borchi_2b Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 a rusty airforce does not mean that it is a bad airforce. look the usa has f35 with russian enginetechnologie inside, lol, so please, why cant they ever make thier own stuff, lol. and the stealthy f22 is not that capable how it should be, and s400 can track that b.i.... also, plus old sams from the mid 50ies can do that too, so why should there be any need when old rusty stuff is by far enough for a modern airforce like the usaf, plus the americans allways think of themselfs of being the greatest, which gives the russians the status of an underdog, although they are not by far. that means in a war, the usaf will have many surprises, for sure. fortunatly such things will not happen in the near future, thanks to some smart piloticians in europe http://www.polychop-sims.com
GGTharos Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 ^^^^ So they have an engine for two decades now that surpasses anything the Russians have made, and it's Russian Technology? Heh. As for the S400 tracking the F-22 ... is that before or after it unleashes a horde of SDBs onto it from 60nm away? ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
cool_t Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Cant wait for 2.0 It took 6 120s from my F-15c then an AIM-7 to kill one Mig-29 from less than 10nm......I remembered why I stopped playing F-C- 1. and took a break....Oh and he got an ET off and R-73 during all the evasions ......LOL!!!!
