Cradle Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 g-day I was hoping that someone here with to much time on their hands could shed some light on the EKRAN system. as long as everything is ok the EKRAN goes about its buiness and i dont pay much attention to it, but after -say a near SAM miss- the heli gets all banged up and lots of stuff brakes down. NOW i want to see what systems are unavailible, but i can only se the highest priority failure? Can i scroll/flip trough the messages in some way? the manual mentions that by pressing the "MWL" i can see the next message, but i dont know what that MWL is? And i have seen ppl posting files here that shows what systems that have broken down? How do i access those? Any special program? anyone? ----- My life as a child did not prepare me for the fact that the world is full of cruel and bitter things. -Robert Oppenheimer, 1904-1967 TM Warthog Hotas, TM Rudder, Track IR 5 Next Level GT Ultimate V2 Gaming Chair Racing Simulator Cockpit 43" Screen
Cp Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 MWL is the master warning light. Its the red light thats situated on the left side of the front panel, left of the vertical speed indicator and above the G-meter. You can press it to toggle through the error messages (if there are more than one) (the default keyboard shortcut to press it is "M")
Cradle Posted December 1, 2009 Author Posted December 1, 2009 doh! i might have known.. :music_whistling: well well.. i blame it on that i ususally never get the chance to do much else than crash when shot at..
Nate--IRL-- Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I never knew that. Although, like Cradle, I usually end up in a pile of fiery metal on some mountain slope, before I get to think about EKRAN warnings. airtom Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 RTFM ;) All important acronyms are at the end of manual. Page 15-1.
airtom Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 These forums are the manual ^.^ Forum should not be the manual. Should be addition to it, but not full substitution.
StrongHarm Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 There are a lot of warning signs besides the EKRAN system that will tell you the status of your systems. They're litterally spread all throughout the cockpit. I would highly suggest reviewing the manual (p76) in understanding, at the very least, your oil/hydraulic pressures, engine temptures, and warning lights. Note: you can actuate audible voice warning queues (LCTRL+V.. see attached pic) so that you don't have to look at the EKRAN panel, with the switch on your center panel. Betty will speak to you instead of just saying WATCH EKRAN WATCH EKRAN WATCH EKRAN .. naggy bitch... It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm
enigma6584 Posted February 3, 2010 Posted February 3, 2010 And don't forget the rear panel over the pilots right shoulder. There is a panel there where damaged systems show up as lighted indicators.
