Griffin Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 (edited) Nothing wrong with them, just didn't find them too special. The movie is very beautiful though. That kind of approach just didn't bite me, I got bored. It's all matter of taste. :) Edited December 27, 2009 by Griffin

Griffin Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 (edited) Zwartboek (Black Book) - In the Nazi-occupied Netherlands during World War II, a Jewish singer infiltrates the regional Gestapo headquarters for the Dutch resistance. What happens after the victory when there is not much live resistance fighters left to tell the public you were undercover? Great movie that keeps up the excitement until the end! As a bonu... CE_Mikemonster Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 (edited) I think this is a good movie, it's called "No man's land" and it's about the war in Bosnia... somewhat funny at times but it's talking more about how stupid the war in former Yugoslavia really was.. it's a sad movie really This is a brilliant film, I watched it as a young teenager and can still remember the gist of it (and the futility of war). Also, nobody mentioned The Longest Day. I haven't seen that in a long time, but it is a classic and shouldn't be left out. D-Day. Can anybody give any WW1 films? There have been a fair few, very poigniant as well. Just can't think of any off the top of my head. Oh, also another classic, about the commando/intelligence raid to destroy the Norweigian-based facility the Nazis used to create 'heavy water'.. Can't recall the name... Any ideas folks? Edited March 14, 2010 by CE_Mikemonster Too many cowboys. Not enough indians. GO APE SH*T

Griffin Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Can anybody give any WW1 films? Passchendaele - Has a bit cheesy love story but the battles are pretty good and capture the terrible muddy conditions well. IMDB
