Teka Teka, I flew for 4 hours w/my squadron last nite w/your HUD color. It's the best one there is IMHO. Thanks for yet another fantastic tip. You are "da man".

BTW, any way to mod this in v1.02 at all?

Why would you want to? Everyone should have 1.1 and if not they are missing out.

TekaTeka,

Can you tell me what graphics settings you are using?

I tried your values but cannot get what appeared on your screenshots.

I have to use {100,255,160) to get a similar result. Is this somehow related to the monitor color setting?

Hi, Omega Oska. :D

My graphics setting is the Default 'High' setting plus Heat Blur (X800XT). But I don't think it will affect the HUD color. The color looks different if the background changes. The color difference between (70,255,160) and (100,255,160) is very slight, so the impression could be affected by various reasons.

If you want to compare more precisely, you can take some screenshots, pick the HUD colors in a graphic tool and read the color components.

But you don't have to follow my numbers. It is just a suggestion. If you find another setting you prefer more, nothing is against you to use it.

Hi Guys,

Slightly OT, but how can U change the color of the in-game FPS meter? I'd like it to be red, but I can't find out how to change it. In the air, the meter is almost invisible against a blue sky.

tia,

Hey TekaTeka,

In your sample file you have this:

HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iSu_27] = {70, 255, 160}

HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iSu_33] = {70, 255, 160}

HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iSu_25] = {255, 255, 70}

HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iSu_39] = {70, 255, 160}

HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29] = {70, 255, 160}

HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iMiG_29K] = {70, 255, 160}

HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iA_10] = {70, 255, 160}

HUDColor[PlaneIndex.iF_15] = {70, 255, 160}

I was wondering why the numbers for the su_25 are different if they are 'all' mint green?

I like your default HUD color a lot, TekaTeka. I think I'll keep using it.

Sorry! Your view.lua is from V1.02 not from FC1.1! This feature goes only with

FC1.1 view.lua!

Thanks for the advice. I found that 0,0,0 is actually black. If you want pure white change it to 255, 255, 255 in the view.lua file. That gave me the white color for the HUD. I flight tested it and it is very clear in both the air and when looking at the ground. Thanks for your help though.
