what is a missle slider?

Never touched it, and thats makes me think now. To make it more realistic, should i move it left or right?

If there was never an option, it would'nt bring this thoughts to my confused brains ;)

move it to the middle for full realism.

 

Uhh... Makes me wonder why they even implemented it. It's not if it even works outside of SP games anyways.

Where it is set by default (50%) is most realistic.

 

Somewhere heard that 40% setting is realistic but in on-line playing it depends from server setting I guess?

when moving the slider i found the "my missile miss bus, my missile miss train, my missile miss truck, my missile miss plane"-game mode

 

good for pacifists but not taxpayers. ($50,000 for a maverick to go "poof" in a shrubbery):doh:

Having Regard to your Poll Options, I'm assuming (cannot seem to make sense of the Options TBH) you think the Slider is a 'Bad' thing. Are you even aware of what the Slider does? If so, what are Your thoughts?

The missile slider decreases the effectiveness of missiles....

 

Yes the Slider is a bad thing...The ONLY thing its good for is to make people "Merge" and where some missiles are already FAR from what they should be decreasing MISSILE-EFFECTIVENESS makes it POINTLESS to use certain air-craft in there PROPER role.

 

I think you can make a vote the POLL is very clear...

Finding DATA on how well..."MODERN" missiles work from the platforms we use in this SIM would be a nice start.

 

The MISSILE SLIDER is pointless and decreases "True" advantage in all aspects of modern air combat sim.

 

The only rational thought that I can come up with is that E.D. put the MISSILE-SLIDER in the game to reinforce the facts about logistics and that perhaps "A shipment of 120s had some avionics fixtures that were not in tolerance according to the blueprints"

Sweet....post info on percentages of ET/120/AIM-9/7/ERs' that were shot and what the kill ratio is...and compare the data to LOMAC-F-C 1.0

 

WAGS stated "There will be NO missile slider in LOMAC 2.0"

I rather have fixed IR missiles tracking - meaning NO intercept - then another talk about realistic PK in a simulation where "balance" is more important then realism.

 

As said by tester team member, not by me ;)

Would it be correct (and easier to envisage) to say that it simply governs the "hit box"? That is, it doesn't change missile dynamics, but it does change at what range it'll kill you - at one setting a missile that passes 5 meters from your aircraft will explode and kill you, at another setting the same missile won't explode and therefore "miss"?`

 

As for whether it's pointless or not - it's only pointless in the same sense as "easy flight", "realistic g" and all those settings are pointless: they allow users to tweak simulator behaviour to fit their tastes. What's bad with that?

"Tracking Drift" is Missile Physics...

 

Remind me about how pointless it is 2 "Out Flank" your bandits ONLY to see your missiles miss at 10-5-Nautical miles???

 

"Flaming Cliffs 1.0...Just drop Chaff-Flares and turn hard your bandits Missiles WILL miss"

 

LOL!!! Missile Slider will be gone in F-C-2.0......there will be no "Modification" to "True-Advantage" anymore...

Right....Sure....As such is true with the physics of the paint on a Missile....In F-C- 1.0...paint on a Missile...WALMIS WEAPONS PACK--"Increase frame rates" On the "Paint-Job" or----User-plat-form--recognition from ISP-2-Game Phyiscs...faster or slower in Missile Timer in TWS?? or root controls and reflective "Pings".....Strictly speaking about--MODS---or "OFFICIAL-MODS...Missile Physics Slider"

 

Good or Bad in your opinion G.G. please...in your mind when your in a Hyper Lobby 104th game....Do you have MODS or MOD-MAN Stuff? Do these Global accepted MODS adjust flight/Missile/ping/ physics as to a NON-MODDED Flaming Cliffs 1.0 version of the game?

 

If so???? Will the F-15c get 2 carry "Lantern" in F-C-2.0 like I read on the post??? Is it really true??? SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
