droz Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Did something change with the pricing scheme? I seem to remember there was some discussion that owners of LOMAC and FC would get a discounted price for FC2.0. Don't get me wrong, I will eventually get it (as a college student, I will get it when I can afford it), but &30 seems a bit steep for those that bought LOMAC, and then FC when it came out at $25. Help me out here peeps. Windows 7 64bit AMD FX 8350 4.0GHZ 16BG Ram EVGA Geforce 760 GTX 2GB

droz Posted March 27, 2010 Author Posted March 27, 2010 cool. Thanks Viper. Much appreciated. It's understandable the pricing arrangement, though it'll likely be a few weeks before I can get it now. Windows 7 64bit AMD FX 8350 4.0GHZ 16BG Ram EVGA Geforce 760 GTX 2GB
rattler Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 60.00cdn plus tax, not cheap for an update.Paid less for the game cd's lockon and fc1.1.:badmood:
Vekkinho Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Well, there's no way of comparing today's pricing with the one from 2003... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Haukka81 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 22 euros , dollar is cheap and so is the game too :) -haukka81 Oculus CV1, Odyssey, Pimax 5k+ (i5 8400, 24gb ddr4 3000mhz, 1080Ti OC ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
trigen Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Compared with most games this was pretty much thrown at you for nothing at all. Then take into account that flight sims dont exactly top the sales lists and it gets ever cheaper.. Hell its so cheap that i'm bying the DVD ver + the manual when it comes out so i can atleast feel like i'm contributing to keeping the genre alive! I'm also amazed that the game came out yesterday (the english ver) wich was a REALLY BAD sales move considering a lot of people would have bought the russian ver instead of waiting until monday. Instead they stayed on all evening to get it out to us, that says a lot Feel free to do the same 1080 ti, i7700k 5ghz, 16gb 3600 cl14 ddr4 oc
h00t74 Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 It is more than worth the amount with the improvements made. Much smoother IMO than FC1.1
Burnerski Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Have you seen what they are getting for FSX addons? I think this is a smokin deal for $30.00. I have over $300.00 in iracing.
rattler Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Did not say I wasn't buying it. I most certainly will when I can get my hands on the cd version. Yes I know we are only 5% of the game software industry and that is why I will still purchase fc2.0. I have spent a lot of years with this flight sim. and don't intend to stop now. I have had it since day one of North Amercia availibility. From what I have read so far , I will have to purchase this in Europe as it is indicated it may not be available in North America because of the price for the update. Hope they change their minds as I think anyone who has fc1 will want fc2. More than enough in North America to make it pay to carry it.IMHO.Cheers.:)
dyoox01 Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 The CDN exchange rate is pretty good. I dont think its any where near $60CDN.
rattler Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 22.95 ero plus 13.00 euro for shipping makes 60.00 cdn plus duty. Still buying but wish it was available in North Amercia which it looks like it will not be.
Sabre-TLA Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I paid 29.95 Euro for the downloaded version and using XE I got: Live rates at 2010.03.28 01:29:42 UTC 29.95 EUR = 41.1705 CAD Euro Canada Dollars 1 EUR = 1.37464 CAD 1 CAD = 0.727463 EUR Not bad for a sweet update. Many, many thanks ED! I think the webpage download version costs 29.99$, not 29.95€. So it should be 30.8 CAD. rattler Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 Yes your are correct it is 40 plus for download but I require the CD version,(just Me), I would rather have a disk. So add another 18 for shipping, that's Canadian funds and you will get 60 cnd.(approx) , then there is duty, excise tax and hst which I will not know till it arrives, so I would say to get the Cd version will be approx. 65-75 cdn. If a North American Company will carry this software then I would expect it to be somewhat less.(buy in bulk). I sure hope that they find or decided to make it available in North America. I would guess it would be up to the distributor in North America, whether it is carried here or not. Regardless , when the disc is available where ever, I will be getting it. Supporting ED is very important, IMHO. They have stuck with us(5%market) and I will certainly stick with them. Thanks ED for staying with us:thumbup::thumbup:
