Phoenix FR Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 I search in the command key, and it seems that we can only do next waypoint. Is there a solution to call a past waypoint, cause cycling all the waypoint is a bit longer.

Correct Is there a solution to call a past waypoint, cause cycling all the waypoint is a bit longer. No - can only cycle 'forward' through waypoints. Rarely will you have more than 5 or so WP's, so cycling through them takes no time at all. ...you can't even cycle through them again.:( Issue with your system then - no problem here with cycling through WP's repeatedly. connos Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 (edited) You can only cycle waypoints using Navigation mode key 1. If you switch to other mode you can not cycle through waypoints. Also if you are in other modes it doesn't switch waypoints automatically when you reach one. sisifos Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Correct me if I am wrong but switching to an other mode freezes HSI too. It is very bad because if you are in BVR mode searching for targets you don't have any navigation aids. Even from HSI. Lock-on in Greece

coder1024 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 I've noticed (I was in A-10 MP) I had to hit "1" for the range to the current SP to update as well in the HUD. It only seems to update range when in mode "1". When switched to "7" for A/G the range is frozen and doesn't update. The nav data should be updating all the time I would think regardless of which mode you're in (range to SP in HUD, HSI, etc) and I can't see any reason it wouldn't let you switch steerpoints when not in mode 1. I'm guessing these are just bugs. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] coder1024 72nd Virtual Fighter Wing Falcon 4.0 Allied Force Pit Trainer FalconLobby
IvanK Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 The freezing of Nav computation in all ,modes other than NAV has been there since the very first version of LOMAC. Its still here in FC2. It wont be fixed ... many have asked/suggested :)
sniffer Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 No - can only cycle 'forward' through waypoints. Rarely will you have more than 5 or so WP's, so cycling through them takes no time at all. Hmm... but You've got a lot of airfields (selecting another airfield to land) or You can have a lot of ground targets to select by... cycling. One 'click' too much and again... better was with cycling in two directions IMHO. But yes - it's not very big problem. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
coder1024 Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 well, FC2 is a new release. no reason not to point it out. you never know :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] coder1024 72nd Virtual Fighter Wing Falcon 4.0 Allied Force Pit Trainer FalconLobby
sniffer Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 If something is new - You can be sure it will be fixed (official patches, non-official patches, mods, fixes, etc.) so now it's the time to screaming what need improve ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sisifos Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 well, FC2 is a new release. no reason not to point it out. you never know :) This is so true! We buy a new game at the end. There is no excuse this game to bring all that bugs from the past. Lock-on in Greece
sniffer Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 Basically this product (FC2) could inherit bugs from DCS and make some new which could be generated by implementing "two worlds into one" (I mean moving FC to DCS) - IMHO... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
connos Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 But we don't know if this is a bug is it? sisifos Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 Bug or not, it is very annoying and not so realistic IMHO. Lock-on in Greece
coder1024 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 How could that not be a bug? I doubt any actual aircraft would work that way. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] coder1024 72nd Virtual Fighter Wing Falcon 4.0 Allied Force Pit Trainer FalconLobby
joey45 Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 Hmm... but You've got a lot of airfields (selecting another airfield to land) or You can have a lot of ground targets to select by... cycling. One 'click' too much and again... better was with cycling in two directions IMHO. But yes - it's not very big problem. You are selecting next WP and not airfield in NAV mode?? Not sure about the ground targets though cos I don't have the target marker diamond thingy. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. sniffer Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 NAV mode: cycling waypoints RTN || LND mode (not sure cause use pure russian cockpit version): cycling airfields to land A2G mode if You have assigned targets in mission: cycling these targets I treat all modes (NAV, RTN, LND) as 'navigation modes'... SFJackBauer Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I can live with being able to cycle WPs only forward. But the HSI freeze should have been fixed.
