Cockpit warning sounds too loud

Folks, I searched but couldn't find any info on this. Is there a way to reduce cockpit warning sounds? They are much too loud relative to all the other sounds and I can't figure out which slider to tweak for this. Thanks.

Try cockpit, the headphone slider is for comms only ;)

Lol I don't know why but so many FC2 people blunder into the DCS forums. There is a sound slider that does affect cockpit sounds. I thought it was headphones but it might be simply cockpit.

the cockpit slider I think muffles all other sounds(like rotor noise etc) but not the warning sounds. Is there some .lua file I can edit to reduce just the warninng noises?

Try adding Gain = 0.3 to ka50_avionicswarntonehi.sdef and ka50_avionicswarntonelow.sdef

I wonder why it was removed as an option? It certainly was pretty handy. Hope your fix has worked. Let us know
