Luke.S Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 can we do flyby's on the people up on Tikaboo peak? I wanna go out at night from Nellis and strafe some caravans to keep them awake :megalol:
cheezy Posted August 23, 2010 Posted August 23, 2010 I want my house to be modeled perfectly. So when I'm angry at the family all I got to do is fly a bomb run over it to let it out.
sweinhart3 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 they would probably scramble some jets and shoot you down in a hurry if you try to overfly it much less land. Intel i7 990X, 6GB DDR3, Nvidia GTX 470 x2 SLI, Win 7 x64 http://picasaweb.google.com/sweinhart
Pyroflash Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Only if the mission editor wants them to. It would be kind of funny however, if ED released the game where there was an auto trigger on all flights over area 51 that would spawn 50 SAMs and a flight of F-16's to take out whatever flies past the base. If you aim for the sky, you will never hit the ground.
213 Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 The plan is to make all DCS iterations compatible. Does this mean it will be possible to use the black shark in the Nevada map(via editor or custom battle)? Or will that map only be available to a10 owners?
Luke.S Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 imagine. Pretend to be having engine troubles in the Shark and request permission to land (fake the transponder to say you are for example a bell 222 and then (oh wait I keep coming up with an airwolf scenario in my head where they pretend to be having engine troubles and get permission to land at area 51. But as soon as they are about to land they turn the video cameras on and hit the turbos.)
TheMoose Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 (edited) Since Nevada is being mapped and various airbases are being done, will one of those bases be Area 51? :music_whistling: That is an awesome question, thanks for bringing it up lol. +1 However I doubt they will. That might angry lots of Government folks & military personnel... It might hinder on future TBS contracts. So I guess NO would be the answer, but that’s my opinion. It only exist in your mind :music_whistling: …;) Or should I dare to say in the Twilight Zone, hahaha. :D Cheers Edited August 24, 2010 by TheMoose Antec 900 gaming tower, PSU: Corsair 750W, Q6600, Asus P5K, 8Gig Mushkin, Nvidia eVGA 280 GTX Superclocked 1G DDR3, SSDNOW200 Kingston Drive, TrackIr 3000+Vector, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick, Saitek rudder pedals pro, Sharp 42" inch LCD Aquo. kingneptune117 Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Anyone can make an area 51 with the ask kit or whatever ed announced on simhq "When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return." - Leonardo da Vinci Intel i7-4790k | Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo heat sink | Thermaltake Core V71 case | 750W EVGA PSU | 8gb G.SKILL Ripjaws DDR3 RAM | MSI Z97 Gaming 5 LGA 1150 motherboard | Samsung SSD | ASUS STRIX GTX 970 | Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog | TIR 5 | Razer Deathadder | Corsair K70
SUBS17 Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Area 51 is an actual place called Groom Lake it is where aircraft such as the U2, SR71, B2 etc were developed. To not model Groom lake would make the map incomplete. In FSX there are some interesting missions that involve flying into Groom Lake which are interesting. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
sweinhart3 Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 everyone knows area 51 exists. I dont think modeling it would be a big deal. Its what goes on in area 51 and the projects they work on that is classified. Aside from that, drawing an airport with hangar bays is no big deal. topol-m Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 You will need some acid based cleaning stuff to remove them from your windshield... They leave some nasty green spots if not cleaned properly and in time these cause corrosion. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
