Thor77 Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 soosnik: great what if!!! love it! pilotoasso: as Laud said, airbrush in modelling is as TIR in sims - once you get it, you wonder how you managed all that time without it There's a number of things wrong with Zvezda's kit - too wide front part around canopy, engine bulges transformation into spine is not the best, tail stinger is a bit off, shape of engine intakes and main landing gear doors are wrong, front wheel mudguard is missing,... but all these mistakes aside it builds up really nice and without much hassle, and you get a boarding ladder and very nice figures of seated and standing pilots. http://dcsskins.wordpress.com/ Your place for custom created DCS World skins. Thor77 Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Just finished this whirlybird for the SAM review. I must say that this was one of the most enjoyable models that I have worked with. The model is not without its flaws though, pretty basic cockpit with a bunch of equippment missing including IP decals, some filler was required during assembly but nothing drastic and I really had a go with scratchbuilding, wiring the rotor, multi-stage weathering,... enough of talk, here she is! http://dcsskins.wordpress.com/ Your place for custom created DCS World skins. Avilator Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 happened upon this little article: Retired Dentist Creates Functional Miniature Airplane Models :surprise: I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! rextar Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 These models are available in most countries, some are limited production so they can be a bit pricey. Among the top companies that made modern aircraft in 1:72 scale are: Century Wings, Hobby Master, Corgi, Dragon Wings, and Witty wings (listed from best to average). I like these models because not only they are made from quality metal, but you can display them with or without gears, optional ordinance, move-able surfaces such can canopy, rear elevators...etc. Oh they are metal!!!!! No painting involved then? Great colection i may add!!! Intel i5 3.2 ghz 8 GB crucial ram gtx 660 superclocked 2gb 500watt corsair psu win7 64bit extreme pro track ir5 Turtle beach x12

mvsgas Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Just ran in tor this youtube channel, did not know where to post. Really cool stuff To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
Eight Ball Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Action dioramas Came across this the other day : Action dioramas by Bjørn Jacobsen I have been building scale models for many years now, mostly WWII planes, but also a few dioramas. After years of modelling, I find it more and more rewarding and challenging to make dioramas, because it require not only modelling skills, but also a sense of realism and a lot of research and scratch building to get it as realistic as possible. I hope some of my models or dioramas might inspire some of you to try out this exciting hobby. Below you will find the contents of this site.
