hassata Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Any word on vista 64 would be appreciated. 10.8b is giving me some good love, I'd hate to upgrade for no performance gain (or even loss as has sometimes happens with updated drivers). I'll report myself in a few hours when I get a chance to install [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Mustang Posted September 16, 2010 Author Posted September 16, 2010 (edited) Good find, great for the 4800x2 series users out there :) edit: from what i've been reading recently, this hotfix is also good for single GPU's too, since it fixes issues with HDMI under/overscan and v-sync with some OpenGL titles. I am running 10.8 and so far I dont feel the need to change unless something mindblowing is happening with 10.9 So far for me 10.8 has worked the best with FC2.0 and DCS Is there a fix for the shadows??? ФрогФут Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I have a problem: If i delete drivers and software via Catalyst manager, i get only audio driver and catalyst manager in the list of possible components when i install new driver. If i update driver with installing new one over the old one, i get all components, but after install it seems to do nothing during installation progress. In all cases i get message, that setup is complete, but some issues occured(see log), when trying to view log nothing happens. Ran as admin, Driver Sweeper does not help. Any ideas? hassata Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Did you try running driver sweeper in safe mode? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

hassata Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Not solved yet :(. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet. Maybe use it as an excuse to upgrade to Win7 64 if you haven't already done so, or just to clean house. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ФрогФут Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Well, i am on Win 7 64.:) I haven't solved the problem, but some dancing around the PC And i installed the driver via device manager and CCC, installing each component idividually and not through catalyst install manager.:) "Я ошеломлён, но думаю об этом другими словами", - некий гражданин Ноет котик, ноет кротик, Ноет в небе самолетик, Ноют клумбы и кусты - Ноют все. herig2 Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Took me three tries. The first durring the install, the Windows has a problum screen came up. The second it install but, the computer couldn't find the drivers. Thrid time was a winner. I'm also using Window7 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Mustang Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 anyone got reccomended settings for BS? Depends on your model of card, on my HD3850 i use 4x Anti-Aliasing, 8x Anisotropic Filitering and Adaptive AA on, all at 1920x1080 resolution :)
SAM77 Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 After a while running 10.9 This has been the best driver version so far for me in running Black Shark and FC 2.0. Unless 10.10 has a significant increase in AA and AF performance I dont see myself changing drivers for a while.
