Not just port it over but adapt it to PC aswel.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

I know money is tight, but if you're a motorhead, this would be a good time to get a PS3. It's also a blu-ray player, and with the Sept. update will be able to play 3d movies. And MOVE turns it into a Wii for the kids.

Edit: Logitech wheels work with Gran Turismo as well

I cant wait for GT5, I have every other GT game for the PS on up, but this version seems to be the dog's bollocks.

I seriously cant wait til its released, it will get me back to actually using my release day ps3 60gig console, which has less than 30 hours usage since I bought it in 2007.

But this game will easily get me back to using it and easily double the amount of hours that my ps3 has seen.

I cant say the same for my 360, which maybe has 50 hours usage from 2006 and has just sat doing nothing since Rainbow 6 vegas 2 came out. I cant even give the thing away, I asked my sister's boyfriend if he wanted it for nothing, he actually refused :D So it looks like I am stuck with a 360 that doesnt and will not get used again.

Yeah, but i still don't expect it this month. In the "worst" case scenario, it'll come out together with A10C. There goes this years birthday money and my social life

btw, is it me, or does Kaz have a bruise on his left cheek? Like someone kicked him in the face or something...

So whats your overall impressions with it so far? Its obviously a top-notch racing sim. But I've seen alot of reviews and comments of ppl complaining about the interface, multiplayer, and basically anything that doesn't involve actually driving the cars.

I must admit, although I like Gran Turismo's and have every single one from the PS on up, I must admit, it doesnt feel or look that much better than GT4

Also the interface, it isnt exactly the best, but GT's have never been known for great interfaces, must be a japanese thing I guess.

Overall, I cant see what all the fuss was about, seriously, if you have GT4 or GT5 prologue then you basically have GT5. Bear in mind that I havent played it much, so there is obviously a shit ton I havent seen or experienced yet, but my overall opinion is, its basicall GT4 with some extra fluff on top.

I reckon they could of made it soo much better had they actually made it from the ground up instead of porting previously made tracks and cars into it that were made for GT4 aka made for the PS2.

But I am a fan and I am loving it, but I doubt I will buy another one because the series to me now has come as far as it can go IMHO.

I thought I would be playing this all weekend, but steam has 50% off of arma arrowhead and 50% of the UK DLC for it, so instead of paying 30 quid for them both, I paid 13 quid, so i think this weekend will be filled with me playing arrowhead instead of GT5

Although I'm not a gearhead, I was looking forward to getting this as the pinnacle of the genre, but after reading the reviews, I'm passing. From what I gather BF, Special Events is where it's at.

I admit I'm on the fence a little bit. I have GT5 Prologue and it was entertaining, but not super entertaining. I guess it might have been the overall lack of tracks, or maybe how the races are formatted or maybe that type of road racing isn't my thing. I'm a pretty avid F1 fan, I played F1 2007 on the PS3 way more than I ever to GT5P. The thing is I've yet to get F1 2010. When it came out it was a choice between it or Starcraft 2.... Not exactly a fair fight begin with. So now I have 2 great racing games that I want to get, but not quite sure which to spend the money on.

heh heh I'm surprised by people throwing around the "Simulation" analogy for this game, especially on this forum of all places :D

It looks nice and is probably good for a laugh at a mates house, but I really couldn't enjoy it, given how used I am to playing proper racing sims.

Its a console sim, not a full PC sim. Its not bad for the driving, but the game play is letting me down a bit. I am at level 23 and still can not do the level 19 I think "like the wind" or whatever series. I am also missing the level 16 I think classic race car. To buy one in the dealership is 20mil???? Not sure who else is playing, but I do not think I have totaled that much in the game yet. So even if I had not bought any other cars and just stuck with my miata and somehow beaten all the levels (even though my miata can not do half the races due to regulations) I would still not have enough money for a 2 race event car. That car would probably suck for any other series featuring race cars and would only be worth a fraction if I tried to sell it. Add to that the fact that I can not pan my view in car at all and the fact that I can only get into a few of the cars in my garage, and it keeps making me more frustrated that this is the result of their 6 year development cycle. The damage modeling is embarrassing when you look at what NFS shift did a few years ago. Shadows are horrid and only GT5 has the PS3 memory limitation excuse on the hip for use in interviews.

Also, instead of retiring a B spec driver, I would like the option of placing him at the finish line at Daytona so I can run him over without touching the brakes to prove to him that it can be done.
