NRG-Vampire
PLEASE MAKE R-77 FOLDABLE GRID FINS I uploaded a high poly R-77 model on lockonfiles. Here is the link to download page. @Mustang: This is the final version. bumping this old thread, but FC3 R-77 model:  http://www.lockonfiles.com/index.php/files/file/2376-fc3-r-77-model/ Combatace PLEASE MAKE A FOLDING GRID FINS version too  animations: normal fins argument#2 value 0.0, folded-lying fins value 1.0 maybe this is not a secret but R-77 RCS is huge (radar cross section) because of grids therefore aircrafts without internal bay (mig-29, su-27) will use folded version IRL i think in a real war scenario normal standing grid fins increasing RCS of aircraft too strongly, but in contast lying fins increasing drag slightly which is not significant in subsonic speeds and foldable fins version will be great for T-50 PAK-FA too ;)
Xeno426
I had always assumed the grid folded in the first place.
combatace
Even if I animate it. They will only work if the argument is coded in the game. HungaroJET
Even if I animate it. They will only work if the argument is coded in the game. Yes it's coded...Don't worry, everything will B fine un-folding fins work booster seperation also...so you can make Novator KS-172 AWACS killer missile too ;) On images you can see a simple KH-59 model swap which proves A2A missiles (R-77) able to use/show animated fins as Vampire wrote: Arg#2 --> fins Arg#1 --> booster (KS-172) Novator KS-172 / R-172 AWACS killer missile Edited December 24, 2012 by HungaroJET Atop the midnight tarmac, a metal beast awaits. HungaroJET
R-77 with folding grids/controls uploaded on lockonfiles. Will be available soon.. http://www.lockonfiles.com/index.php/files/file/2432-r-77-model-with-folded-grids/ Nice, but unfortunately the shape is wrong. Mainly the wings and grid fins are too small. You need to push wings forward on the "tube"-missile body. Front and back edge of wings are not arched but straight. Grid fins are too narrow and flat and grids need to be "cubes" in fins - same size in X, Y, Z coords and right angles (90 degs) You need to push whole model forward (on X axis 0.42m) http://en.valka.cz/viewtopic.php/t/10763 from top (to down) top: Combatace' R-77 without folding grid fins model Combatace' R-77 with folding grid fins model E.D. model: LOMAC, FC1, FC2, DCS model R-77.lom and edm lower: Flanker2 model R-77.cmd Differences on X-axis Too Flat Grid Fins Wing Sizes Wing Shapes Grid Sizes - Left: CA's model with foldng fins, center: ED's DCS model, right: CA's without foldng fins, lower: Flanker2 model Edited December 29, 2012 by HungaroJET Atop the midnight tarmac, a metal beast awaits.
