Moving soon to work on Buffs, no more fighters for me. No more chances for another flight. It will be a nice change of pace, but gonna miss it.

I've seen B-52 in Ostrava on the NATO Days 2010 and it is cool plane ;]

Why is it called Buff?

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

Big Ugly Fat Friend. Although I think it might be common practice to replace "friend" with another word starting with "F".

Not entirely sure how it got that nick-name. Well the last word at least. Cause its certainly Big, and ugly, and fat.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

I'm not to thrilled to be leaving fighters, but like I said it will be a nice change. At least when I get deployed I'll be going to a nice tropical place instead of a hot sandbox.

Yeah, that's true. What will you be doing with the B-52's exactly?

Same thing I do on fighters, fix anything that has to do with the fuel system.

Well Cali, you won't be able to tell the crew chief that the problem is the external tanks :D

Pack you cold weather gear.

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Congrats Cali - an increase in skill-set is never a bad thing :)

Here's one for you and your soon-to-be Bomber days:

A F-15 was flying escort with a B-52 and generally making a nuisance of himself by flying rolls around the lumbering old bomber. The message for the B-52 crew was,

"Anything you can do, I can do better."

Not to be outdone, the bomber pilot announced that he would rise to the challenge. The B-52 continued its flight, straight and level, however. Perplexed, the fighter pilot asked,

"So? What did you do?"

"We just shut down two engines."

Well i remember BUFF as BIG UGLY FAST FLYERS from "The Nam" reference, but i may be wrong. It also wasn t used only for the B52 but any big jet bomber, but B52 was the most comon.

Fast Flyers was employed in opposition to propeller planes like the OV10 Bronco and a few others USA mil. still used at the time who where considered slow flyers.

Hey Cali, maybe you can t fly a jet anymore, but maybe you can bomb Chavez...(err no politics)

I'd swear I saw a variant of this where he'd say:

"Oh I just went out to the back to stretch my legs for a bit and get some coffee"

In the F-15C campaign in FC2 EB put one of those in when you're tasked to escort a cargo plane. On the radio he goes "hey, watch this" and nothing happens, and then he goes "ah, a fresh cup of coffee" or something like that. :)

and on my way back i got myself a cop of fresh brewed coffee before i plunged back in my seat again.
