combatace Posted May 12, 2011 Author Posted May 12, 2011 Stuck a bit. I'm trying to model the hydraulic piston that runs the main gear using tape helper. The problem is it works fine in max but does not work properly in LO. I did animated and keyed both the cylinders but one remains steady and other rotates but in weird direction. Now let me express my opinion on possibilities mentioned few posts before considering implementation of RICARDO's pit with combatace's Su-33.. To be honest, I like RICARDO's cockpit repaint as it really enhances ingame graphics and increases immersion. But, first of all, I'm not realy sure it works with 6DOF option (heven0t tried that as I d0n't use RIC's textures). Reason that I don't use it is the following: Some of the textures are overdone, at least to the point it kills a realism a bit. I'm taklinkg of some textures that in fact look great, far better than stock but are less realistic than stock. For instance (Sukhoi -27, 33 and MiG-29) HUD brightness knob isn't accurately textured so it kinda changes the general shape and appearance from the real one. Some of the toggle switches are there as well. Just my two cents, BTW RIC's pit textures are available for download so end users can choose to use it or not rather than having it automatically installed with with Su-33. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I think in a first time the mod can be done with this one, so in few weeks the photorealistic one arrived! 2 /

No it does not, you can try to key the animation out and then remove the tape however. I use a similar method.

It is suppose to simulate wear. It's there in the 3GO Su-27 as well. Someone made an option to remove on the 3GO model to remove it. I hope Combatace you do as well. I personally don't like it, as if you have a multiple flight of planes they wouldn't all have the same tint. Just a suggestion. Thanks.

I use a similar method. I did the same I work on -30 to 30 track and I keyed at every frame but there was no movement at all in the game.
