Succellus Posted January 29, 2011 Posted January 29, 2011 (edited) The only conclusion with mobo is that 100% of bricks are Intel. Brand is not reliable, we got all brands, with probably some Asus stand out but as we don t know the % of Asus to other Mobo... Now lets see if there s some faulty bracked in the SN or if its just random. Here are some: 935 1544 1462 1865 More WT bricked but can t find SN reference Edited January 30, 2011 by Succellus 1 HaF 922, Asus rampage extreme 3 gene, I7 950 with Noctua D14, MSI gtx 460 hawk, G skill 1600 8gb, 1.5 giga samsung HD. sndwv Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Perhaps worth mentioning that in an e-mail I received from Thrustmaster about this whole issue a few weeks ago (just prior to the 18 fw release) they literally stated the problem was not related to a certain batch or range of serial no.s. I no longer have the e-mail for an exact quote, but that's more or less what it said.

Give me a company that has made a recall where faulty products didn t endanger lives ? But if first line of atendent have already been issued the info that it s not a batch issue well, lets take it for real. So far no 2XXX bricks yet. LeLv30_Superbus Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 (edited) A squadmate of mine had two bricked ones too. He is afraid to connect the third one he just received. It's a nasty situation when you don't know what to do. FWIW I say it has to have something to do with electrical grounding. The metal shell grounding through its environment somehow. There might be faulty wiring in the house. Just my 2 cents. My own WH works flawlessly. Edited February 2, 2011 by LeLv30_Superbus "FWIW" added [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Click to view pictures of my deskpit
