I tried doing 300 tanks but the clusters still killed about that same amount of tanks.

 

I have ALL settings maxed out...everything, except water.

 

Edit - Here is my attempt at 300 tanks...lol It came short but was just as much fun..hehe

Anyone else finding that efficiency too unreal?

 

1. The total number of skeets launched from the BLU-108 submunitions the CBU-97 bombs carry is 160 (4 bombs each containing 10 submunitions, each submunition deploying 4 sensor-fused projectiles "skeets").

 

2. In RL it will be nearly impossible for all 160 skeets to hit 160 targets, and here you have even more than 160 targets destroyed. In RL some submunitions miss, others hit the same target.

 

3. There is a high probability that a hit from a skeet will not effectively penetrate and destroy T-72B equipped with explosive reactive armor (Kontakt-5 or newer which also provide protection against kinetic penetrators) unless it hits a vulnerable spot.

The current model of the CBU-97 has it's limits, you know? Accurately modelling the BLU-108 and skeets is probably not possible right now.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Completely accurate modeling may not be possible yet, but making them less lethal I hope is. It would be a step towards more realism.
