ScEBlack1 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Hello all now that the patch is hete and missions and campaigns are working better which campaing do people prefer, think I will start one and would like to know which if any is more immersive"? thanks all
genbrien Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I tried the shore with the new patch, but the helicopter's bug hoverring couple of meters above the shut down pilot is still there.... Devil's cross and georgian hammer are both cool. 1 thing I dont like about Georgian hammer is that you always start on the runway (I like to do a ramp start from a complete cold pit :)) Havent tried Devil's cross since new patch, but before you were 90% alone as your wingmen were stuck taxiing......:mad: Do you think that getting 9 women pregnant will get you a baby in 1 month?[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Mobo: Asus P8P67 deluxe Monitor: Lg 22'' 1920*1080 CPU: i7 2600k@ 4.8Ghz +Zalman CNPS9900 max Keyboard: Logitech G15 GPU:GTX 980 Strix Mouse: Sidewinder X8 PSU: Corsair TX750w Gaming Devices: Saytek X52, TrackIr5 RAM: Mushkin 2x4gb ddr3 9-9-9-24 @1600mhz Case: 690 SSD: Intel X25m 80gb
mtuckner Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I thought that Georgian Hammer played the smoothest for me. I enjoyed that one. The shore looks interesting but the bug was a showstopper, and Devil's Cross was a bit overwhelming.
genbrien Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 and Devil's Cross was a bit overwhelming. yeah, always beeing under 4000' because of the overcast clouds makes us pretty vulnarable to SAM missiles....:joystick: + cant use LGB....:music_whistling: Do you think that getting 9 women pregnant will get you a baby in 1 month?[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Mobo: Asus P8P67 deluxe Monitor: Lg 22'' 1920*1080 CPU: i7 2600k@ 4.8Ghz +Zalman CNPS9900 max Keyboard: Logitech G15 GPU:GTX 980 Strix Mouse: Sidewinder X8 PSU: Corsair TX750w Gaming Devices: Saytek X52, TrackIr5 RAM: Mushkin 2x4gb ddr3 9-9-9-24 @1600mhz Case: 690 SSD: Intel X25m 80gb

Could be wrong, but i thought I read that some where...
Baggy MacDouche Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 1 thing I dont like about Georgian hammer is that you always start on the runway (I like to do a ramp start from a complete cold pit :)) That's what I don't like either. Why isn't there some sort of option to start each mission at the ramp or runway. It seems that most of the SP missions all start either on the runway or in the air. I like having to do a cold start on the ramp and wish I could do it more often. Itkovian Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Well, I've been flying the Devil's Cross campaign's first mission as a kind of training (restarting all the time), and my wingman always takes off after me without any problem. That said, just how do you win that first mission? Is it just a matter of inflicting some damage and then landing? Because there's a LOT of russian hardware out there, and there's no way I can take it out (even a single formation is a challenge, what with all the Zeuses around). Itkovian

Itkovian Load wingman with 4 Mav's each. Once you get to target area, have them all attack the air defenses. That should reduce it enough to make a few bombing runs with clusters. When you send your wingman in to help you bomb the armor, they wont have too much trouble as air defenses are already severely crippled. That what I did. It worked for me. i7-12700k, 32GB Ram, RTX 3060 12GB, TrackIR 5, Lots of SSD Space, etc etc DCS World - All the cool modules
bluepilot76 Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I have been to the end of that campaign and was told it was a success. Dont want to spoil it for anyone so wont give too much away, but as in RL, you dont seem to have to kill everything. Even doing multiple trips would be hard to get them all. Anyway when you get back from your missions other hogs and apaches are setting off, so you just need to remember that you are a small cog in a big engine, plenty to go around, you cant have all the glory.... Something like that anyway. It is a great campaign although I miss the menacing clouds and HAS starts. It seems really easy now. Technical Specs: Asus G73JW gaming laptop... i7-740QM 1.73GHz ... How do you change out your wingmans' loadout? And I just finished my second mission, Devil's Cross, landing safely, parking, shutting down only to watch those other three dummies land and pile into each other and die. Madman777 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I've missed this. How do you change out your wingmans' loadout? And I just finished my second mission, Devil's Cross, landing safely, parking, shutting down only to watch those other three dummies land and pile into each other and die. Who signed up the three stooges? To change wingman's loadout, go to the loadout page where you are, and on the right side of the page, you can see the amount of wingman you have (1-4) Just click on the arrow button to move on to the next wingman. Then just select his loadout like you would yours. It's important to do this, because in some missions the default loadout for fuel is only 50% fuel. And while we are all still learning, a full tank near the OP area is probably a good idea. EDIT - Sorry the first mission in the devils cross campaign, you only have 1 other wingman. You can still load him up with 4 Mav's. Plus your 4 Mav's, should be enough to take out AAA near your targets. i7-12700k, 32GB Ram, RTX 3060 12GB, TrackIR 5, Lots of SSD Space, etc etc DCS World - All the cool modules
