FLEXCopMNPD
I am not 100% sure but double check full screen mode off on DCS as helios needs to run in windows I think. I am just resetting my monitor and stuff after a long break so a lot to learn again lol Full screen mode is off. It is rendering the black boxes where the exports are supposed to be, just not exporting the information. Helios is working fine. Is there anything else I am supposed to type in? I thought EMC "put" the information in all the .lua that were needed to export the gauge.
TonyStovepipe
Ah ok well that is my newbie advice for today lol Some one who knows a lot more will help you out soon I bet :) I am going to try helios again myself later I will probably run into some sort of problem lol. Great news! I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but FC3 planes use both LEFT_MFCD and RIGHT_MFCD (though one or the other; the F-15C uses the LMFD and the other planes use the RFMD). -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide

I extract the VSD (Radar screen) of the F-15 like that (LEFT_MFCD =) Is there a way to extract more displays like the RWR and weapons screen etc.?? doveman
I'm having a bit of trouble with this. When I launch it, it says "Defined monitor config file is not present in your game folder! Run DCS and change your Monitor configuration" but I have no idea what it means. Then it says "LUA files for DCS A10-C need to be installed. Do you want to install them now" even though I've already said yes on previous runs. Then it only shows me tabs for KA-50 and misc (I've got A-10, Huey and FC3 modules as well). If I click on misc it usually crashes and closes EMC, referring to Line 9762 ine EMC.exe "Error: subscript used with non-Array variable" but if it doesn't, when I switch back to the KA-50 tab, it says I need to install the KA-50 LUA files, no matter how many times I've already said yes. I want to setup the exports to use with Helios profiles for the KA-50, UH-1H and A-10C (and the FC3 aircraft if there are any for those) and it will be a lot easier with EMC, if I can get it working that is. deskoilot
Is there "ANYBODY" that can help! Pic #1 (did that) Pic#2 (DCS World is installed 1.2.3) Pic #3 (EMC is in DCS World, C:/Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World) I am using Windows 7 home premium, I had this program working before. When I try to open EMC the prompt says I need admin rights. If I turn off the UAC, it will not even attempt to open. I have done a uninstall and reinstall about three times and still it will not open. What can I do?
icemaker
This is a bug since ED changed Registry keys where the path to DCS was previously stored. Search in this thread someone has already answered this kind of problem. I'll try to take some time to update EMC to add manual path configuration, but i can't say when. As soon as possible. deskoilot
Thanks ice, I will be looking for that path config. I am currently using DCS World 1.2.3 because my system seems to work very well with it. 1.2.5 slowed my sys down a lot, and Helios did not seem to work. I searched the thread but could not find and solutions as to my problem, not being able to open EMC from my desktop. doveman
I'm having a weird problem. I did have everything exported to my second monitor before, so I'm not sure what's changed (maybe the update to 1.2.10) but now the Shvkal appears in the upper-right on the primary monitor, whilst everything else shows up where it should. If I open EMC, it shows the Shvkal in the correct position. I'm using this config (I think I manually added some alternative references in case the auto-generated ones weren't right): _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('Zeen KA50'); Description = 'Helios Zeen KA50'; Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1200; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.6; } } LEFT_MFCD = { x = 1920; y = 0; width = 921; height = 730; } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 1920+1272; y = 0; width = 648; height = 812; } UV26 = { x = 1920+1030; y = 610; width = 120; height = 60; } PVI = { x = 1920+15; y = 726; width = 255; height = 90; } EKRAN = { x = 1920+1745; y = 955; width = 95; height = 57; } Shkval = { x = 1920; y = 0; width = 816; height = 659; } ED_KA50_ABRIS = { x = 3249; y = 0; width = 588; height = 846; } ED_KA50_SHKVAL = { x = 1920; y = 0; width = 816; height = 659; } ED_KA50_PVI = { x = 1956; y = 678; width = 212; height = 107; } ED_KA50_Ekran = { x = 3080; y = 955; width = 162; height = 116; } ED_KA50_UV26 = { x = 2751; y = 533; width = 307; height = 84; } UIMainView = Viewports.Center Main rig: i5-4670k @4.4Ghz, Asus Z97-A, Scythe Kotetsu HSF, 32GB Kingston Savage 2400Mhz DDR3, 1070ti, Win 10 x64, Samsung Evo 256GB SSD (OS & Data), OCZ 480GB SSD (Games), WD 2TB and WD 3TB HDDs, 1920x1200 Dell U2412M, 1920x1080 Dell P2314T touchscreen
doveman
Never mind. I seem to have fixed it by creating a new profile with EMC. Only did the Shkval and Abris so far but it should hopefully still work once I add the other stuff back in. _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('Zeen'); Description = 'KA50' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1200; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.6; } } ED_KA50_Shkval = { x = 1927; y = 7; width = 809; height = 650; } ED_KA50_ABRIS = { x = 3251; y = -1; width = 587; height = 838; } GUI = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1200; } UIMainView = GUI Main rig: i5-4670k @4.4Ghz, Asus Z97-A, Scythe Kotetsu HSF, 32GB Kingston Savage 2400Mhz DDR3, 1070ti, Win 10 x64, Samsung Evo 256GB SSD (OS & Data), OCZ 480GB SSD (Games), WD 2TB and WD 3TB HDDs, 1920x1200 Dell U2412M, 1920x1080 Dell P2314T touchscreen

Is it "Programm Files (x86) \"? It should be "Programm Files (x86)\". Also i wonder, are you sure the game is installed to "Programm Files (x86)" at all? mine is installed to "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics", withou the (x86). Hope it helps. deskoilot
:helpsmilie:So here is what happened: Installed DCS World and BS-2 on my lap top (win-7 32 bit) and EMC 2.0, works fine. However this will not work on my desk top with win-7 64 bit. Does EMC work with 64 bit or is this a path problem? With the 64 bit system it creates a program called program files X86. At this time I have DCS World and BS-2 installed in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World and I really don't want to change that path because that would end up being a uninstall and reinstall of DSC world and BS-2. I have tried many times uninstalling and reinstalling EMC to different locations and I also tried to do what thread 302 suggested, however nothing worked. What should my H_KEY_USER path be set at now?:helpsmilie: Thanks Much Terry Edited August 24, 2014 by deskoilot
Madog
Hey, yes, EMC does work with the 64bit install, at least for me it does. You do not need to install EMC to the gamedirectory at all. Here is my setup: EMC installed to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Easy Monitor Configurator". Game is installed to "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World". Regpath for A-10C is "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C"
deskoilot
Madog, All is setup like yours, still don't work. I get this message after I say ok to everything else when I try to open EMC from screen promp and nothing happens DCS World is not Installed on your computer ("IT IS") or EMC can't find Installation Folder ("WHICH IS SETUP LIKE YOURS"). Please check your DCS World Installation and run EMC again. I can run DCS world and play the game so I know DCS World is installed on my computer. The problem has to be the install path.?????? G00dnight
@Deskoilot. you need to make a new string NOT EDIT the one that is there. make a new string called path then enter as below. you will get default, lang,Path,Path and version. "Path"="F:\\Program Files\\Eagle Dynamics\\DCS World\\Mods\\aircrafts\\KA-50" note double backslashes. no spaces. I see you are running version 123, are you 32 or 64 ?. hope it helps. deskoilot
64 bit, Do I need to install EMC into C:\Program Files (64bit) or C:\Program Files X-86 (32 bit)? and should the Path=(F:\\) be (C:\\) in my case? Thank You for your help One more note, regedit will not let me make two "Paths" with the same name? I set up my default as in thread 302, still did not work. Deskoilot.
