112th_Rossi Posted July 17, 2005 Author Posted July 17, 2005 Its a Kyocera M410R with 10x Opitcal zoom and a fast shot function. Its a good camera but doesn't give you a great deal of control over the focus system. I had it on constant auto focus combined with the fast shot function, I picked the best pictures out of a 2 second array of snaps. I want to get a DSLR for next year :)

It was a good air display but I've been spoilt from last year and greater still the year before. I just thought the line up wasn't as good this year. No A10, F15, F18 Super Hornet, B2, F117, Nimrod, Mig 29, SU27 or Phantom. But never-the-less, cracking pics! Trunks Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 yer i gotta agree with you there daznblast been used to seeing the b2 fly over every year, f117 nighthawk static and flying and the main thing that disapointed me was no mig29 at all, was gutted :( i didnt see why they didnt just have 1 F15 on static 1 flying instead of both on static, same with the phantoms and A10, the A10 did look very sexual on static tho, remember last time i went they only had 1 A10 and that was flying so didnt get a nice look at it, should have put atleast one up of those 3 tbh :(, and yer no super hornet :( but overall was a decent show plus got a look in the AWACS and American Antonov :D

112th_Rossi Posted July 17, 2005 Author Posted July 17, 2005 I have to agree, the show was a little spartan in comparison to last year. Having said that the weather was absolutley perfect. I'm trying to practice my photography and this airshow was the ideal place to practice. I am very pleased with some of the shots although a digital camera does tend to do most of the work. I'm looking to buy a DSLR so I have more control over the shots plus get a bit closer to the action with a better zoom. I couldn't see the UAV as it was too damn small lol. I spent the time deleting bad photos from my camera and sipping on ice water. I was really hoping there would be more WW2 aircraft there. The F15 / P51 fly past last year was fantastic as well as the B2 Spirit fly past too. I got sunburnt on my ear which is now blistered :( Glad you liked the shots.
