We've prepared updated versions of the training missions for the patched version 1.1.0.8. Besides fixing the broken missions, some minor improvements and adjustments were made to all training missions.

You can download the complete new archive here:

http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/59550/

Simply unpack the archive into your .../Training/en folder. You may want to back-up the original just in case.

Hope these work well for you. Feedback welcome.

Thanks,

- EB

Thanks,

Well, just tried out the startup training mission. Not all of the errors I reported were fixed. See here. Why are the labels on?

Landing and DSMS training working again, but GUN training still needs fixing. It now hangs later in the mission. See my error thread for details.

Thanks a trillion!!! You guys are amazing. Best support I've ever seen.

As a beginer I have everything ready and steady after a week + patch as a bonus. And when I stucked with training missions, FIX appeared so FAST.

Thanks again you are thinking about every player around. Keep up your perfect work. I'm your supporter forewer cause you bring me back to simulation world since I've played Eurofighter 2000 last time ') Now I think I have a new hobby. Can't wait for upcoming products. All my thumbs up.

Thanks for the fix! I was wondering what the hell was wrong with my machine until I read this thread. Finally get to finish my rockets/GAU tutorial!

Now if only there was a fix for the start where if you don't press pause/break quick enough the tutorial won't begin. Is there a fix for that?

I'm still having issues with the Landing, DSMS, and guns tutorials, they all still hang in the same places they did before the updated training missions patch. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.

Me too!

I highly recommend to post the files in the Patch section of digitalcombatsimulator.com as a Hotfix !

Including a noob friendly installation instruction or if possible a installation routine.

Many rookies are not browsing the forum after they downloaded. They will start the training missions and

then they will stuck in the cockpit and be very confused...

Splinty, are you sure you're running the updated missions? Did you unzip the archive into your //Training/en folder?

Hi Evil, yes I did, but I'm going to retry to see if I did something wrong. Will post my results here in a bit.

It should not. Is your game patched to version 1.1.0.8? Play the problematic missions from the mission editor and save your track at the debriefing screen. We'll take a look.

I am patched to 1.1.0.8, it's getting late here I'll have a go at them tomorrow.

Also still problems: referring to the TGP training mission, where people reported similar problems

see: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=71265

Playing 1.1.0.8 and updated training missions, the mission always gets stuck after I should use the china hat and "bind" the TGP to the waypoint. Initially, I thought, I did some keymapping wrong; however, after rechecking everything and replaying it several times, I noticed, that actually every controller input gets stuck. I can neither use my keyboard, nor my Thrustmaster MFDs, nor my throttle or stick. Only the axes work. Nothing else. Not even the ESC key. Even after killing the game I noticed in windows (Vista 32-bit - unfortunately) that one arrow key is constantly "pressed". This issue seems to be keyboard independent, but rather game dependent. Any update?

EDIT: For your convenience, I attached the DCS.log, one .crash file and the dxdiag report (dont know whether that helps you, guys...but there are some errors stated there)

BTW: If you want us to upload such files, it would be beneficial to allow .log and .crash files for upload. As for now, I amended the filename by ".txt" for uploading compatibility.

We can try to have you delete all of the saved input setting files and then start the game over. This will reset all of your input settings to default. If you'd like to try this, do the following:

Go to //Windows/Users/Your Windows Account Name/Saved Games/DCS Warthog/Config/Input/A-10C. For each folder inside, delete any file that has a long serial number attached.

Also, just to make sure, the training missions should be flown with Easy Avionics Mode off.

Done...

yet this was not the problem...I have to apologize, the only problem was my configurator of the stick (saitek!). The issue was that the autorepeat function was somehow on, although I never engaged it. Consequently, once I switch the boat or any other switch I mapped on a rotary, things just get stuck. I figured this out only after replaying several different trainings to identify the button that is actually stuck - not so easy...

Sorry for the inconveniance, at least I got a fast answer - not so common for the Saitek guys ;)

I also have Win 7 64 bit and I also had an issue with the landing tutorial but with this hotfix the landing tutorial works fine on my pc. That's curious. Now I'll try the other two tutorials you mentioned. I'll report when I have any problems.

I have Win 7 64 bit. I downloaded the latest tutorials. All of them hang at some point in the tutorial and can't finish any of them. Major bummer.

The instructor will ask that I type in a response. I will do that, and then nothing happens. It will not proceed to the next step. I am locked into that one procedure. I know I correctly "pressed" the right button or switch he asked for (since it is hard not to miss), but subsequently hitting the space bar will do nothing.

I tried going into msconfig and disabling all startup programs and rebooted to avoid any possibility of any other memory conflicts, but the same thing happens on all tutorials.

Sometimes you might need to "hold" the button for a short time before it's recognized (sorry - I can't think of a specific instance right now, but I do remember I had to do that with a couple OSB's)...

Maybe try that?
