Sorry about graphic, my 9600GT can't handle it on max with fraps on...

 

 

Well, im 15 y/o. I come from little country in Baltic region called Latvia. smile.gif

Why I want x52? First of all, because I cant afford it now. And second - you can't buy them in Latvia... sad.gif

Here's my contribution. joystick.gif

Flown and partly rendered on my Ideapad Y560 with a Logitech Wingman joystick.

i7 1.73GHz, 4GB ram, Radeon 5700 mobile.

 

Some of the shots were FRAPS'd at 1/4 speed and then sped up in Sony Vegas due to the abysmal frame rate. The others were done by my brother back in the states.

 

While it's currently not in the cards to upgrade my peripherals this is a great opportunity for me. I've gotten to know and love my Wingman stick but her days are numbered.

Seeing the videos made I dont think I stand a chance.....but in fact I made the video so my kid who bug me to fly can fly with me with his own set as we can't afford him one.

 

I didnt thought I could make it until the last moment so will see...plain movie compared to the other edited ones.

After seen some threads like this and this I first wanted to donate my unused X52 (absolute good condition) to someone how really needs it but can't afford.

But after thinking allot of It I wanted to make it a little more challenging and decided the person have to do something that will entertain all of us.

This also fits perfectly to fill the summer break!

 

So here it is:

1st DCS Movie Maker Smack-Down

starts in:

The rules :

 

1.

You need to make a DCS-A10C Movie with "Green Machine" from Kyuss as soundtrack. (Why this song ?! >http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1251506#post1251506 )

Example:

 

(now close your eyes and imagine what great DCS-A10 Movie that could be!)

 

2.

Max length of the movie is 5min!!

 

3.

Only absolute new never published material is allowed. (The Community will have a sharp eye on this!)

 

4.

You have to upload your Video on Youtube until the 11th August 2011

Than we will a 2week poll including all entries to select the best Three .

After this first round we will have another poll for 2weeks to determined the winner of the three best movies!

(until than we maybe have someone that donates something for the 2nd and 3rd place)

It would also be nice if you would tell something about you and why you deserve to win the X52. Because my vote has a weight of 10points... ;)

For me It was a very hard decision between "Tusks of Rage" and "Green Machine"...

I voted for "Green Machine". - so you can ad 9 points plus to Squirrels points.

Here's a thought: standardize the AC paint scheme/tail number, etc, so they can be cut together.

Really good Idea - but as much I may like this idea - I wouldn't change the rules at this point any-more.

I set already a very tough time-frame and would complicate the things to much...

 

 

But I will keep your Idea on my clipboard.:)

Ill put a second X52 on the table should these 2 win. Its an older one but has logged a huge amount of air time. Its sitting in my closet now and Id love to have someone else enjoy it as much as I did.
