Update: I did a clean re-install of 1.1.0.9 and this issue has not recurred.

Any one know how to stop gimble roll without getting a new plane? It rolls TGP, Mav...........:pilotfly: whatever is SOI

Please DL track at this link...could not upload here. You will see the issue on the TGP screen in the MFCD near the end of the 4.5 min track

I really wasn't clear in Origonal Post about Gimble Roll...What I meant was the TGP and Mav, whatever is SOI, cursor is spinning around in a circle counterclockwise and pretty fast. In Mav Mode it then locks at Gim Limit.

The problem is with the SA cue spinning constant circles in the MFCD. I am not in a search mode which is diff anyway

I do not know what causes this and I cannot stop it with China Hat Aft Short and China Hat forawrd long. That works for Gimble Roll but not this. The cursor does react with China hat aft and forward but only for a sec...then it continues to spin. It is not locked on a prior target.

I have to get a new plane to stop it and that can be frustrating, especially after start up and set up and airborne flying into target.

Anyone else see this? This does not happen everytime and seems random. I really do not believe I am doing anything to cause this. I do not recall seeing this before the 1.1.0.9 patch.

I have also tried C key, cycling the CICU, cycling TGP which does not change anything. Switch from TGP to Mav and same thing.

You will find when you run the track and take control, you can prob stop it with China Hat Aft.

After TGP came up, was made SOI and observing the roll....My Squadmate took control in the track.... he used China Hat Aft and it cleared for him. I expect you can do the same..I thought maybe it might be a glitch with my Warthog H.O.T.A.S. but the C key does not work either.

SO it is unique to my install/system?

I would hate to have to do a reinstall just for this. I have had no other problems with this SIM, Period.

Gimbal lock ? Is that when the TGP goes crazy and doesn't come out of his hideout anymore ? Had that sometimes after sharp turns.

For some reason when ever I see that on the screen, I always get the song "Jingle Bell Rock" in my head, but replace jingle bell with gimbal roll lock. lol yes I am possibly insane.

After speaking with MegOhm about this problem, it doesn't seem to be gimbal roll as the issue.

The problem he is having is with the SA cue spinning constant circles in the MFCD. This seems to affect both the TGP and mavericks

China hat aft short re-boresight, then back to SPI with china fwd long.

that would be to tap "C" then long press "V"

Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

We always need a track if we are to attempt to assist. Inevitably, no track = wandering mind = forgotten issue = help other member with track provided.

Please request Ohm to provide one - have personally never heard of that particular issue before.

I was about to say... the number one way to cause it is to pull off to the same direction after similar runs on one target. If you alternate pulling off left or right, the gimble will rotate in the opposite direction and happy days will be had by all.

At the end of mission, it has a button that says 'save track'.

Don't alt-tab or use time compression though as it will seriously screw up the tracks.

Had a quick look - it seems that you have your sensors slaved to the SPI (Current steerpoint). Now that is all good, but not when you are orbiting the steerpoint at very close range. Your sensors are basically on a merry-go-round with the short range reflected in the behaviour of the TGP SA cue/Mav Wagon wheel.

Edit: Did a wee test on my side and could not seem to replicate as much movement as what you were getting. If it does happen again, extend to a good stand-off range, bore-sight sensors and engage again, ie slave to steerpoint and see if issue persists. Only thing I can think of is that all the manoeuvring somehow has a knock-on effect which leads to the odd behaviour.

Did I send the wrong track? I was never airborne in the track I thought I sent....and ended it on the runway because I cant find targets with a TGP that is useless. Also I use Markpoints

I was actually on the runway slaved to nothing...and had the problem before I was airborne.... I will check the track I sent and if the wrong one I will re-post a link to the correct one if needed. That will be Friday..since I am traveling this week.

It appears most are assuming I have no clue about this Sim...but uhhh I do. This has nothing to do with flying around in circles LOL!

I appreciate you taking the time to take a look.

I was not able to correct this problem.

So...I did a clean reinstall of 1.1.0.9...so far the problem has not repeated itself.

I guess there was a corrupt file somewhere...that is the only thing I can attribute it to.
