aimmaverick Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 This is a desperate request to ED team. I would like to see overhauled more functioning cockpits with adjustable ILS frequencies, fully working PACS, navigational switches, adjustable settings to fuel gauges and in general more features. IM NOT ASKING FOR FULLY CLICKABLE PITS NOT EVEN FOR ANY MOUSE INTERFECTION WSE. I know this would cost to much time and it isnt wise to do. All im asking is, if you guys could make in version 1.2 simple animated switches as seen on A-10 ( when toggling master arm on/off). Personally i think that A-10 is a plane which would have the most benefit from this. Not being able to pull big yelow switches which scream into your face to put out fire are simply not something that this kind of simulation deserve. Please ED dont focus just entirely on new projects but improve models already in game hence its strange to see flyable planes with one having fully functioning pits, others have just basic working switches. And in the same game. So ED please would you take that into account and spend some time also on "old" planes?
GGTharos Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 AFAIK they'll only consider a complete revamp to the 1.2 technology - which means we're not very likely to see anything done to the cockpits. ED Team Olgerd Posted September 2, 2005 ED Team Posted September 2, 2005 We have plans to revamp existing aircrafts. Right now I can not say much. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] К чему стадам дары свободы? Их должно резать или стричь. Наследство их из рода в роды Ярмо с гремушками да бич.
GGTharos Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Mmm, music to my ears ;) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
stefostef Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 We have plans to revamp existing aircrafts. Right now I can not say much. i like the way it sounds too
britgliderpilot Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Yeah, but plans can change ;) I'm being pessimistic about this one - that way, I can wet myself when it happens :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
Jester_159th Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Yeah, but plans can change ;) I'm being pessimistic about this one - that way, I can wet myself when it happens :) I'm with you. I've found that in general it's better to be pessimistic than optimistic. Afterall. A pessimist can only ever be pleasantly suprised. An optimist can only ever be disappointed!! ;)
BearF_CO_159th Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Always borrow money from a pessimist as they will never expect it back.. Jetser, BGP..could you lend me a tenner?
ED Team Chizh Posted September 3, 2005 ED Team Posted September 3, 2005 Addition to Olgerd It will be not in the 1.2 because the 1.2 arise with new cockpit technologies for Ka-50 at first and which will used in future projects for western aircrafts. It is not meaningful to repair existing cockpits since they have become outdated also it there will be a waste of time for us. In the future we'll build these aircrafts at much higher level. Pilotasso Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 On a side note, I would like to see a small addition: The AIM-9 seeking reticle only appers on HUD when you have a lock. It would look cool when the aiming reticle shakes and moves around the center while it tries to lock on, and when it does, it blinks. Thats because IRL it takes a couple of seconds to lock on. Only latest generation missiles make practicaly intant lock. And there isnt anything more hart pumping than in a dogfight you start wishing "come on baby lock on, lock on baby!" :D .
britgliderpilot Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 And there isnt anything more hart pumping than in a dogfight you start wishing "come on baby lock on, lock on baby!" :D Surely the barely repressed sexual tension between you and your backseater is just as fun? No? How about flying through someone's jetwash? Anyway, they all require new features . . . . . sigh. Glad to hear the current aircraft will be redone at some point, though :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg
SUBS17 Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Isn't that "Tank Killers" sim going to feature some flyables with those features? [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
