Hey guys,

I know you can adjust the Maverick's Slew speed via the MFCD menu page for MAVs, however when I look in the TGP page, I cannot find an option to adjust the slew rate.

Am I missing something that allows me to adjust my TGP slew rate?

Thanks in advance

Pull up the "STAT" page, hit OBS to cycle to the second page, then scroll down to the THRTL line. On the right you'll see an option to change the slew rate.

Note, that setting affects everything BUT the mavericks, not just the TGP.

You could also manipulate the axis saturation of your slew control, if it is turned down.

Indeed, if my memory serves, it is tuned down a fair bit by default on the TM HOTAS Warthog autodetect profile, so if you find that you tend to want to increase the slew speed for everything, might be easier to make a permanent change to the slew control axis in options screen.

I am not very savvy with the TARGET GUI, to adjust this control axis to increase the sensitivity, is that in the Configure Axes Response menu for the slew control?

Hi,

You just have to do it via the controls interface in the A10c GUI in the options section from the main menu.

Strangely, my HOTAS slew control was not seen as an axis by default - rather a button, so I could not tune the axis at first. However, I found that if I deleted the assignment and re added it, it appeared as an axis. The saturation was by default at 100%. When I re-started the sim, the TGP and MAV slewing were so fast, I had to turn it down again! :)

As stated by Chief Instructor, Axis-Tune the HOTAS Slew Horizontal and Vertical Axis to the following values -

Joy_X:

Deadzone = 5

Saturation_Y = 80 (or less if too zippy)

Thanks Viper for that tip,

I plugged those values in, and slewing performs much better now. Before, I just used slight curvature on the slew axis, but those values made my slewing rock solid with no jitters.

Hi,

Could you explain where I can find this "A10c GUI in the options section from the main menu" thing? Where is this main menu? Do you mean the options in the game itself or is it somewhere in the TARGET GUI?

with HOTAS warthog I found clearing the axis for the Slew, and rebinding it at default is much better slew speed. Done it ever since I found out xD

So how did you do that? Using the TARGET GUI? Since I've just bought the thing, there isn't much I can figure out from your concise post. Please explain!

The Warthog is Plug & Play with the A-10. The default settings (unless they have been changed recently) for the both slew axis (RX and RY) should already be a deadzone of 30 and a Y saturation of 15. That should be reasonably untwitchy but you can adust it if need be.

Go to Options>Controls. Select A-10 Sim in the pulldown near the upper left. At the bottom of the window click on Axis Assign. Locate the slew axis entry in the Warthog Throttle column and click once to select one of them. At the bottom click Axis Tune. Now you will see the sliders for deadzone and saturation.

The 'how to' documentation for setting up your controls is in the A-10 GUI manual located in your <install path>\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Doc folder.

Hope this helps.
