Madman777 Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 When you are least expecting it, probably on a cold, rainy Tuesday morning, you will see a huge announcement and the sim world will rejoice (and get upset - depending on the aircraft.) Just stay healthy and keep your PC healthy. The Hornet, oppps sorry. What really did it was when I bought TrackIR with BS...bye bye lady friend. Until you find a gf that actually thinks your hobby is cool. rattler Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I've asked for my PC and equipment to be buried with me so I can play the next DCS fixed wing aircraft.:music_whistling:
Daze Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Maybe they're holding out for the F-22 to be retired then they can make DCS: F-22A [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] First to Fight, First to Strike.
Speed Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 (edited) I've asked for my PC and equipment to be buried with me so I can play the next DCS fixed wing aircraft.:music_whistling: I've got a more practical approach... next week, I'm getting cryopreserved in liquid nitrogen, and with instructions that they will thaw me out when DCS: Multi-role Fighter comes out. Just stay healthy and keep your PC healthy. The Hornet, oppps sorry. I mean the next DCS aircraft will come. Lol, yeah. The announcement will probably be like "Oh hey guys, just want to announce the next DCS jet will be the Mig-23. See ya." /me watches forum explode.:music_whistling: "Isn't this fun!?" - Inglorious Bastards "I rode a tank, held a general's rank / When the Blitzkrieg raged, and the bodies stank!" - Stones.

Wolfie Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Personally, I'm hoping for some time before the next century, right before the release of Fighter Ops. "Isn't this fun!?" - Inglorious Bastards "I rode a tank, held a general's rank / When the Blitzkrieg raged, and the bodies stank!" - Stones.
chaos Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 It's not the F-18. It's wings can be folded and ED admitted it'll be fixed wing fighter. Hence: F-16. DISCUSS! :) "It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage..."

Wolfie Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 It's not the F-18. It's wings can be folded and ED admitted it'll be fixed wing fighter. Hence: F-16. DISCUSS! :) Meh, I hope its not F-16. One, its been done to death. Two, F-18 is better. Three, F-16 HAS ONLY ONE ENGINE. Extremely fatal flaw in my opinion. You can be shot down by just one Igla. Speed Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 (edited) Meh, I hope its not F-16. One, its been done to death. Two, F-18 is better. Three, F-16 HAS ONLY ONE ENGINE. Two engines. Second one under the seat. Extremely fatal flaw in my opinion. You can be shot down by just one Igla. Same applies to any airplane. A good hit by any missile can take down any aircraft, even a two-engine one, even an A-10. But not a Su-25... combat experience against the Su-25 in DCS indicates that it takes at least a nuclear missile or a few hundred AIM-9 strikes to take one down. But that's the ONE exception. Yeah right because F-18s can't be shot down by just one Igla :music_whistling: @Speed Shouldn't surprise anyone that you can't shoot down a frickin flying russian tank :D
