Why does this keep coming up? Paid for 3rd party mods have been allowed since before DCS. It is nothing new.

Doesnt make it any better of an idea.

Care to elaborate?

Aerial refueling in MP, for example. Many threads reporting tanker weird behaviour (specially when starting turns) and tanker responding to wrong player. Also, tanker not refueling more than 8000 lbs in some situations. Breakaway message as introduced in latest patches is also not working properly (too sensitive), but this is just my opinion.

See these for some more info, but I'm sure you already knew :smilewink:

So, can anyone with knowledge confirm if a patch is being work on, just a simple yes or no will do.

Well, if you look at the history of DCS and apply some common sense, it is probably safe to say that unless ED goes out of business, there will always be a future patch, it's just a question of when. ;)

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Come let's eat grandpa!

As someone else posted, refuelling.

JTAC has been horribly broken since the game came out

Crashing

Memory black-holes

Texture issues

Rearming / Menu problems

Yes it is a grand simulation, but not perfect.

True - can't fix everything - it is the nature of the beast - however I would be interested to hear more about the JTAC problems - if you could provide a link or start a new thread I'd be grateful

combined arms and the next patch?

Moderators, please move to appropriate section.

With 2 days remaining before i deploy to Afghanistan again, I was hoping to have seen some life over the past 8 weeks with regards to the ever more so promised but ever elusive 1112, to address the now very common and well known outstanding issues with Quad 1, yet nothing.

May i therfore, ask the 'dev's or someone in officialdom from ED other than testers or Moderators, what the situation is with the current release of the proposed patch?

When can we as customers expect 1.1.1.2 to be released to put right the so many wrongs of 1.1.1.1 which your testers have now identified from customer input from these forums (not least of all from yours bloody truely)?

Will we be expected to pay for the next patch? If so how much?

Will 1.1.1.2 actually be released as a seperate install or is it to be combined into a combined arms 'upgrade', which will inevitably mean paying for the upgrade?

Any chance of a sneakpeek of a change log for 1.1.1.2?

Finally,

Thanks for everything ED, but time to step up a little a be a little more 'forward leaning' with your customer base. We have put up with a lot over 11 patches (5 since a so called RC), and the change logs have been enormous for each variant. Fact is, stability eludes all of us in some guise and many people and vfs's have 'sacked it', with promises of returning later when things are more stable, opting to regress to FC2, or flit over to BMS or other sims, trading the now infamous accuracy and high fidelity modelling of DCS products for reliability of others.

Best Regards

Tyger,

Good luck. Stay safe over there. I want to see you back here full time when your deployment is over, and occasionally posting and checking up on us in the meantime, OK?

You have a bit more pessimistic view of DCS than I do, but I agree that it would be nice to see another patch sometime soon.

As with all patches preceding, it will be ready when it's ready. No amount of moaning, however eloquent, or not, as the case may be, will change that fact. Until then, an exercise in patience is advisable, keeping in mind that everything is subject to change.

Moaning? Who is? It is an observation.

Speed, thanks I Intend too. The last tour for me for sure before retiring this time next year - 26 yrs, where has it gone! Likewise Nate, thanks.

Whatever happens with the next patch / variant, i, as ever, wish it nothing but the best of luck and successfull deployment to the community. On the same hand however, ED 'should' be a little more forward leaning in an official capacity with regular posts in the official updates thread that are pertinent to outstanding and already reported issues.

Viper....................no comment. Others will make their own.

If you please, don't attempt to dictate my conduct. A waste of bytes.

Should outstanding/already reported issues require further addressing not already attended to, be sure to bump the relevant thread in the Bugs and Problems sub-forum.

Can't say it much better than that! And I'll make sure to have vHawgsmoke 2013 ready when you get home
