linden
What do you think is the right color for the cockpit?? I found this one: http://www.tikkurila.se/industrifarger/traytor/fargkartor/ral_classic_fargkarta/ral_7001.3190.xhtml comparing to this picture is close but not 100%... avlolga
better is tested the color on the surface and see the outcome after it is dray, so i think it is related to the material you r using, the same color can look diffident, i mean dark or bright. but i am sure it will look great on your pit
Deadman
As far as I have found the interior cockpit, knob and ACES II color is FS 36231 for the gray for an RAL conversion i have seen these listed RAL 7046,or this http://www.montana-cans.com/products/cans/gold/ G7030 still looks like Dust grey there may be more information over at Viperpits https://www.shapeways.com/shops/a-10c-warthog-supplies https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans. linden
Thanks for all the nice comments!! I have tested various of backlight and here is one test whit ledstrips. Edited October 21, 2012 by linden
reactorone
Really nice Linden ! I also use LED strips 3528 but green. I did not project directly onto the back panels, but inside the console on an opaque paper. Light is projected on the paper is returned uniformly illuminate the panel. He has no spot on the panel but a light that is projected onto the entire panel. I made a small PDF to explain the achievement, was in French but with the images you should understand, I hope ... :smilewink: Sorry for my bad English. reactorone
Hi, You put the led directed backwards, not towards your panel? You put an opaque paper behind your panel? I'm glad you used my trick. this solution not use many LED and the backlighting is really good. R1 Edited May 5, 2012 by reactorone
linden
I put the leds backwards and put the opaque paper behind, lots more clean light whit just a few leds. Dont know if im gonna use white or green light yet,in the real panels i think its white but i will DEFINITELY use your trick!!
